I'm surprised at the one star ratings from others. Because this is one of the best thrift shops I've ever been to and I've lived in many different places throughout my life and been to many, many thrift stores. Kind staff (just talk to them about your concern if you have one - I have with good results), fairly well organized, considering the small space they have to other thrift stores. They have the largest Christmas assortment of any place I've ever been to & it's well organized. Prices can be a little high sometimes. However, considering the sales they have, it makes it very reasonable. For example, I once bought a bag of clothes for $5 (the sale they were currently having) and it included a very thick robe, almost new, that was worth at least $60 or more. I found out the robe was not supposed to be part of the sale, but I only mentioned that the sign seemed to indicate it was and the volunteer said okay and shoved it in the bag. Another story I have is when I brought my daughter and grandson there when she was visiting from another State. My 4 year old grandson was hungry and the helpers pointed my daughter to food that was available for the taking due to the food bank they have. We also were able to get my grandson a very large Transformer car toy for 1/2 off. I paid $1.50 and priced it online and it was a $60 toy. And my grandson just loved it! So, quite reasonable shop depending on when you walk in. All they sell goes for a good cause, which makes it all even more worthwhile. So, if you are someone who is struggling, then you need to let them know so they can help you. That is what they are there for. By the way, struggling with life is nothing to be ashamed of. I have been there and when you allow others to help, it helps to lift you up so you can eventually help others, too. This place is a good Christian organization and if you have an issue, then you need to point it out to help redirect back to the Christian charity that needs to be there. Ask to speak to a manager if the check out person isn't being helpful. Don't go home and write a bad review if you...
Read moreIt hurts to write this review. I've been shopping at the Faith Center since I could walk. It's sad to see how overpriced everything has become. It's depressing that they feel a second hand sweater with noticable wear and tear is worth $20. People shop second hand because they don't have the funds to shop new / full price. What's the point of coming out to The Faith Center if they price higher than Goodwill? ( Who is also overpriced) What's the point of shopping here anymore if their prices continue to get closer and closer to what the items sold for originally? It's been a long time since I came here and found a good deal on anything. I've also come here and had a certain cashier decide to charge me more than what's on the tag. But most of the time the people working the register are the sweetest, nicest humans I've ever met. It's always a toss up when you check out. I've stopped coming here for the most part, I hope you guys lower your prices so it might actually be affordable again. You get everything for free, there is no need to gouge people because someone in the back decides to classify an item as...
Read moreVery odd store. Not in the variety of products, which is expected and appriciated in a thirft store. The odd part is the workers, the layout, the entire vibe given off by this store. Continually rolling large, heavy, loud carts back and forth thru the store. Having to have customers move so they can roll them back and forth. Racks of items unpriced on the sales floor. The layout is odd too they have what they call a boutique inside the store. It is the only part of the store with isles wide enough to walk thru. Another thing I will mention, did it ever occur to someone there that if you go to any normal store, the shelves start around 1 foot off the ground. This is because people can't get down and look at the bottom foot at the floor. CDs, Books, Dvds all against the floor where nobody can see your products. Would I not recommend this place to go look around, no, JI would say walk around, but it could be...
