Happy Nail Salon — Local services in Belleville

Been coming here since I was a CHILD. Including most of the woman in my family ! I came here last Friday and originally asked for a French mail full set. I was charged 45$ and left a 10$ tip. As soon as I put light onto my hands , it was disgustingly done. The lines were incorrect and not matched . The nails were bulky, uneven, thick, and not properly shaved down. When I originally walked into the store , I asked the owner myself to do my nails herself. She denied me even tho she was on her phone doing nothing. Handed me to an older employee who just started and looked very shaky. Because of the past I have with this nail salon for years , I’ called the store and asked them to redo it which they agreed to but weren’t happy about it . I then asked for a simple white nail set. She did it in 25 minutes….. I repeat. 25 minutes . They were talking junk the entire time while doing my nails and were laughing. This set was even worse than the last and I honestly would’ve prefered the first. That’s how bad they were. Look at the pictures down below !!! Doesn’t even have to be explained ; I’m mad I didn’t take a picture of the previous set. You would definitely be able to tell when they do your nails when they are mad at you, and when you are just a quiet customer . This salon has run down over the years . It’s nothing how it used to be; this company has been passed around through many workers and many have left. In my opinion this place needs to close down. Times have changed ; and not allowing customers rights to choosing how they want their nails to be is inconsiderate and honestly embarrassing for them. You’ve lost a life long customer since I was 6 years old. Won’t be your first customer to leave ; and I know it definitely won’t...

I went to happy nails on my day off because it was close to my home. The guy that I sat with didn't seem to know what he was doing as he couldn't advice whether I needed a fill-in or a full set. When he was done they looked ok but started to break that evening. The nail on my right thumb broke that Sunday so I called them the next day on Monday and explain I just got my nails done and it's breaking. They said they would get back to me but never did so I went in on Tuesday to show them. The guy wasn't there but a lady which was the only person there claimed that she was working that Sunday I came in to do my nails and never saw me. She tried to say that I never came in to Happy Nails to get my nails done but luckily I used my debit card and was able to prove that I came two days ago to do my nails with them. Now that she couldn't deny my nails were done with them she fix the thumb but the next day which was Wednesday another nail broke so I went in again and they fixed it . Then Thursday another nail broke I went in for the third time and they fixed that one. Two days later one of the nails that they fixed broke again but by then I'd had enough. I I have never experienced such bad service and quality anywhere that I've done my nails. They are the worst and everyone...

I have lived in Belleville for 6yrs and have gone to this nails salon off & on for 5yrs because its close to home. I have had many services at this salon and I currently come here only for pedicures. The Owner Kathy is nice at first until you question your nail design or any other services then she is very short & rude.

I am never satisfied when I get my nails done here, they are not experienced in doing current nail designs and their work is not neat. If I pay my money then I want my nails to look a certain way. I also feel they dont do your nails to last long, because they want you to come back sooner. Also, be prepared to pay an extra fee for using a debit card vs paying cash.

The only reason Happy Nail Salon gets 3 stars is because I still go here for pedicures.

Update: 3.24.18 There is a new Owner and he is way better than Kathy. They have all the new gel polishes now where Kathy was to cheap to invest and bring the nail salon up to speed. I come here every...
