I had the displeasure of returning a carpet cleaner and Mandy was the person who helped me first. The day prior I went and had a young lady help me and she just stated I had to have the clean and dirty water container clean, being my first time renting one I didn’t check the bottom. The next day Mandy stated the bottom needed to clean which I rushed home to ensure it was brought the way I had rented it!! They lack communication in the sense that I wasn’t told and secondly I wasn’t even given a tool but yet charge for and later refunded. Here’s why I had the displeasure with Mandy. I came back to return it and was helped by Steve which I have nothing but nice things to say about his customer service ethics, mind you Mandy was helping another costumer and all up In my return stating that I indeed rented out the extra tools, I again stated it was not given to me and they can check their cameras to see what I received!’ Steve later ensured me that I was indeed telling the truth, he made Mandy check and they noticed it was a mistake on their part, what was really bothering me is how she kept budding in on how Steve was taking care of the situation, later to find out he was the manager, act your wage Mandy!! Read moreWe have bought roofing from Menards twice now, each order was the metal roofing, emerald green. Both orders together equals approximately $5000 The last order we had delivered yesterday only to find out that the ridge caps are brown. Question, why would I want brown ridge caps when the rest of my order is emerald green? When we were at the store ordering there was two employees working on the computer because one wasn’t sure how to put this type of order in. The another one came in was showing them how to put the order in. When the order was done they ripped off a piece of paper, handed it to me and told me to go to delivery , directed me where to go and sent me on my way. When I got to delivery I paid an extra $70 for delivery and it was delivered yesterday, only to find out that there are brown ridge caps. I called Menards and basically was told that I have to bring the brown ridge caps back in return them. re-order the emerald green ridge caps and then wait for the new ridge caps to come in. I understand all of that, but I don’t feel that this is my fault. I had planned to purchase a hat and had put it on my head while I walk through the store to free up a hand to some of the things I was buying. When I got to the cash register I purchased all my items but had forgotten about the hat. One of the secret shoppers/security reminded me the second I walked through the line that I had not paid for the hat. so I returned to pay for it. And after I paid for the hat (which still had the tag on it) the secret shopper threatened me saying "I better not see this happen again because I won't be so nice next time." I've never stolen anything from menards, I spend a lot of money there, and the hat still had the 4 inch tag hanging from it. What warranted such hostility tword me after I paid for the item I had accidentally forgotten.
