I am appalled by the lack of responsibility of this Store manager Xander for his gross negligence regarding this interaction!
The encounter started with a trade in that proceeded in a decent manner. I came to get credit to get myself a Switch 2 remote and a memory card that would increase the memory of my new switch. I got the controller and was pressed to get the warranty as he stated the remote would absolutely break within a year. It was honestly cringy to hear an employee badmouth a product so hard even if it was to sell an insurance policy. Then the card. I asked if the cards would work with the switch 2 specifically and Xander said “Yes absolutely these cards will work with the Switch 2” He upsold the 512 GB SDXC Animal crossing edition card emphatically stating it would work and double the memory of the other for 8 dollars. So naturally I’d agree.
Fast forward to the point I insert the card. The Switch 2 states it’s not compatible. I tried it several times. No dice. So we drove back several miles out of our way to return it. Xander was there I advised him of my displeasure and we tried to return it just to be told that he could not return it as it was a special clearance item and even as the manager he was powerless. I asked how to register a complaint against him as this is Absolutely unacceptable and he told me to look up the customer support number. Did not even have the decency to give me a number to call.
I can’t stress enough don’t shop here. A mistake not your own may end up costing you a non refundable amount with a sorry excuse...
Read moreThese stores need more than one employee at a time. Your also employees need to prioritize their time, I been in each store several occasions where the employees are having 'nerdy' conversations with each other and/or with customers when there are other customers waiting to check-out and leave.
I don't understand this new business structure of keeping the cases of out-of-stock games on the shelves. Does corporate understand that it is frustrating to see a case to a game that you are looking for, take that case to the counter, wait to finally interrupt the employee's 'nerdy' conversation, only to found out it's not in stock?!?!
Your pre-owned game prices should be far cheaper than $2-$5 from the new game prices. Especially when I go WalMart and their game prices are $10-$20 cheaper your pre-owed and/or new game prices. Oh, and you most likely can download (given you have console storage space) the game you're looking for, for a fraction of both stores price (unless it's a hot new release)!
This place has only one positive thing (hence the 2 stars)...the fact that I can purchase a pre-owned game, play it for up to 7 days, and return it for a full refund! If you eliminate or change that policy, then 0 stars and you lost my...
Read moreI've always gone to this store because how close it is to base but I will no longer be a customer at this game stop ....the employee with multiple lip rings has frequently claimed to be in the military and gives bogus stories about deployments here are some examples he has been to KUWAIT IRAQ Beacues those aren't to entirely different countries.. One visit he was a navy "sniper" the only sniper school the navy has is the one you have to have been to bud/s the course to become a navy seal highly unliky this man was ever in the military let alone a navy seal....my last visit was today and he was claiming to be navy EOD and explained to a young airmen what it was like in the ballistic suit and how if you needed to relieve your self were it would have to be done. Normally I don't care about pretenders imitation is the best form of flattery however to hear him speaking to another military member and lying about such is a slap in the face to the military members that have done what he claimed to have done and died doing.if the owner sees this and would like to talk or fact check I would be more then happy to...
