Flat out LIED to 6 times On Sunday took a replacement phone in after doing the DIY transfer to a new phone. Phone, IM, Bluetooth all worked but got a message saying activation failed. Store rep replaced SIM card and I was told that by 6pm my phone would be activated. Lie #1 Monday tech support said they found problem and phone would be activated in 24 hours. Lie #2 On Tuesday tech support said an incident ticket had been created (INC0052222), and problem would be resolved. On Wednesday I learned that work on the incident ticket had not started but would be resolved by 5pm Thursday. Lie #3 Friday morning i learned that the ticket had been resolved, but was told that the activation would be complete in 24 hours. Lie #4 On Saturday tech support checked some other things and he (Mark) said the a bogus activation had to be canceled. He initiated that and said that my phone would be functioning in 4 to 6 hours and that he would call me back on land line to follow up. That was Lies 5 and 6. Phone was still not activated and I never got a call back. I did however that evening get phone, IM and Bluetooth working again. Something that had not worked since the Sunday before when the store rep replaced the SIM card. Just left the Verizon store after another talk with tech support. Guess what I was told... Yep, I'll have service in 24 hours. Lie...
Read more1st, I'm from out of town & lucky enough to have the store just a few blocks from where I'm staying at while working in the area, so that was already a plus in my book to start.
I walked in the store without reading any of the reviews here on google as I like to take a business at face value to make my own opinion.
Swinging the door open. Walked in & was greeted on the spot, & put on the list. I was ask the reason for me stopping by today, & ask to see about doing an upgrade to a newer Samsung 5G phone, & said I would be next in line when someone is finished with another customer, & pointed me to the 5G phone to look it over.
After about 20 mins, it was my turn, & we sat down worked through my acct & was able to get the upgrade plus rebates of $350 to help soften the blow of the high dollar phones.
The Verizon rep, & store manager were able to get the job done, & wasn't a problem nor any issues that wasn't handled properly in a professional manner, & that was even to the other customers who were in the store while I was there.
2 thumbs up to the store for keeping the customer service on the higher standard where most...
Read moreBLUF: Verizon is good at selling you phones but their customer service is trash. Im not talking politeness, theyre lovely people, they just dont know how to navigate their own billing and close my account. GoogleFi is cheaper, if you are military and deploy the international service is better and more convenient. Their customer service blows Verizon out of the water.
I ended my service in February and am STILL trying to pay off my phone contract. Like im currently on hold on my third different number from verizon to pay this stupid bill.
I noticed I was still getting billed after returning from a deployment and went in to the store to clear it up. I haven't had a verizon account in nearly 5 months at this point.
I went into the store 4 or 5 times and was told each time that we had either successfully paid the bill or I would be getting something in the mail.
Some of their deals on free or discounted phones may be attractive but you couldnt pay me to do all this...
