Cresswell Boggs — Local services in Bellingham

Was wondering around this store as I do every so often when I go on a walk downtown and was stopped at the door by an employee who asked to check my bag, I said sure and assured him nothing was in my bag while showing him and he maybe just have mistaken me for someone else because he yelled at me and said I’ve asked you not to come back. Which hasn’t ever happened I’ve never seen the man in my life. He had a British accent and banned me from this store even though I did not steal anything and willingly showed him the inside of my bag when he asked. He coulda been like hey mam can you hold on while I check the camera or check your bag but he was very rude and it was embarrassing, I think the whole store full of people thought I was shoplifting and I wasn’t. I am banned from this store now but even if I wasn’t I would not return it was a very uncomfortable encounter and I’m writing online about it so that other people can be wanted to be careful in this store because they will accuse you of shoplifting without any proof and ban you from the store after they invade your privacy and go thru your bag and find no merchandise I get if I had done something suspicious or acted in a suspicious way but the entire time I was in the store I didn’t even touch anything and if he thought I was a shoplifter why would he not then watch me while I was in the store just seems really odd to me and I’m pretty sure that he decided I was a shoplifter solely on the fact that my clothes where not as fancy as the rest of the customers...

Fabulous selection of cards, gifty things, and local goodies. Lots of novelty items, lots of jewelry. They also sell journals, note cards, jewelry, seasonal gifts, etc. And, if you want a local postcard or maybe a t-shirt this is a good place.

I like that if I need a card and small gift for someone that I can pop in here and likely find both.

Staff is friendly if you need them and always available but stay out of your way so you can browse.

Staff is sweet, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. They create a comforting and fun shopping experience. Awesome products and a great place to get cool gifts. On top of that, there is a lot of beautiful jewelry for super reasonable prices. If you are looking for Bham clothing, stickers, mugs, etc; look no further.
