I thought this place was okay. It’s a pretty nice building and it’s surrounded by 3 pay parking lots, though you’ll want to get there like an hour before a show to secure a spot, as they’re pretty small lots. The staff was really nice and the check in process was quick, there was never a line backed up. I was really annoyed to find that when we arrived it was open seating, even though it said I had seat numbers. This is the reason why we stayed at the bar next door right up until the start of the show, because we thought our seats were secured. But, when we arrived 5 minutes before start, they said it was open seating and that we “might have to make some new friends” which does not work for me considering this was an anniversary for us and we wanted to be together. Luckily, we scrounged around and found 3 seats next to each other, pretty much the last available in the house. It was really small inside, not like the picture I saw on here when I looked it up, which was like traditional theater seats. The show was not at all what I expected, it was super young people like early college theater. We ended up leaving after about half an hour because it was not at all what we were hoping for. Everything was great, the people were wonderful and everybody was having a good time, I’m just used to a higher caliber production and was very disappointed in the production and the seating situation. I probably wouldn’t go back but I’m sure it’s a cute stop for older tourists or maybe locals...
Read moreThis is a classic, grand old theatre, with fairly lavish decor. Seating is just barely comfortable for small and medium-sized people, but too narrow in both seats and aisles for many, and there are no cup holders on the arm rests, which makes it very difficult to applaud. The shallow slope of the floor results in a frequently obstructed view of the full stage due to heads and shoulders of people seated ahead. The balcony provides a good view. Lighting, sound and atmospheric conditions seem optimal for very good experiences. Earplugs are provided upon demand for loud shows, which may rarely occur when audio is controlled by other than MBT staff. Bathrooms on the main floor are woefully small, but there are bigger ones on the upper floor. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Several membership level options are available for various incentives, and the lounge doubles as a smaller venue for non-main stage events. The theatre frequently features Broadway shows on tour and other world-class talent. On the I-5 corridor, the city's location between Seattle and Vancouver BC is well-suited for shows on tour to schedule...
Read moreHad an amazingly beautiful and moving experience on Martin Luther King Day. The performance(s) were asking for food donations to the local food Bank which was very thoughtful.
It was a wonderful experience for myself and my children. Trying to reconnect with a small town on a multi-cultural bonding that we (family & I) have been missing since leaving L.A. Very poignant brave women, men and children keeping important memories, struggles and history to life during these chaotic times. Through dance, music, singing, and poetry it was a lively mix of love, life, loss, and the importance of humanity.
My small children were quiet and in awe of the performances. I truly felt touched in my soul and shed a few tears of overwhelming care, thought and compassion. I will be attending every year moving forward. I would love to be involved more! We must never forget what we (our nation) was built on and endured and continues battling with. Sharing true honest history is knowledge and empowerment. We need to move forward and progress this world for our children as every single being unites for the greater good...
