WORST breakfast we have ever had, one of the worst restaurant experiences ever. We actually wouldn't have minded the wait to be seated, had the food been worth waiting for. Problem is, after we were seated, we waited more than 45 minutes for our breakfasts. There were only 4 of us at our table, with off-the-menu orders, nothing complicated. There were other people sitting there for just as long, looking around, wondering where their food was. Some people who came in after us were served. When our server went to inquire about our order, one cook copped an attitude: "I'm ONLY the cook": Duh, yeah. That makes you a little bit responsible for putting out the food in a timely fashion, no? Too bad he was busy texting and not giving his job his full attention. The place was busy, but not insanely so - there is something seriously wrong with kitchen organization. Once the food arrived, the disappointment only intensified. My daughter, who had been to the restaurant once before, said her omelete was nothing like the 1st time she'd had it. My over-easy eggs had totally uncooked egg whites, sausage was brown on one side, pale on the other, pancakes were sour and rubbery, toast was forgotten, hash browns are just plain gross. I was afraid to eat my eggs, so I didn't and was way past the point of wanting to send them back and start over. I mean really, if you can't cook an over easy egg in 45 minutes at a breakfast place, give up. My husband told the hostess/cashier that he wasn't happy and she was not interested in listening to it. What a waste of $42. We will NEVER make the mistake of going to this...
Read moreI’m still trying to understand why people like this place, anyways. My experience here wasn’t good at all, waiters barely had interaction with us since we arrived to the place. It took them around 7 minutes to give us a table for 2 adults and 1child, there weren’t even 10 customers in the place at the moment and with 3 waiters there. We had to wait again another 5 minutes just to get the menu and 10 more minutes to get the order in. I was expecting at least a good plate of warm breakfast. It took around 25 minutes to give us our order (an omelette , French toast and pancakes) with 3 cooks in the kitchen! They were busy cooking for “the boss” who arrived 15 mins after us and with no one else ordering food at the time they cooked our order. I had a good view to the kitchen, so i noticed every detail. Breakfast wasn’t good at all and any Denny’s honestly beats their breakfast, any gas station has better coffee. This place is a little over priced for what they serve to the customers. At the end of the day, you who is reading this review will decide wether or not to give this place a chance. This was my experience and this is my...
Read moreJust came into Little Cheerful on a brunch date. It was not my first time in the restaurant, but as always, it was a very pleasant experience. Our server was very friendly, and made some very nice conversation while we interacted. Despite a very busy restaurant and a decent wait, our food came out quickly and was very warm. I ordered the Pork Verde Hash, and the house made salsa verde was delicious and reminded me of a more southern take on pesto, which paired beautifully with the smoked pork. I also got to try the whoppin' stupid sandwich, served with sausage patty, which was also excellent, if not slightly more bland than the hash. Overall, the food was exquisite and a very fun take on classic diner, the only critique I have on the entire experience was the proximity to other patrons. We had a table for two that was basically connected to another table for a party of three. I know there's not much they can change about the space, but perhaps booking less people in at a time would improve that slice of...
