I got my wife 3 hats from Kohls, (UA Microthread Twist Renegade Cap) , we found the exact same hats in Dicks for less than half the price. So we bought 2 hats. Dicks didn't have one (Blue) of the colors my wife wanted so I went back to Kohls to see if they would do a price match. First Sophie, the supervisor/manager treated me as if she was to good to help me. I have never seen such rude customer service. Sophie stated that she couldn't do a price match unless she saw the hats that I purchased from Dicks, so I went out to the car and returned with the hats that I purchased from Dicks. She informed me that they were not the same hat because it wasn't the same color. The two hats that I brought in were the exact same hat/color as the two that were sitting on the counter) Then Sophie stated that she meant that I needed to bring in the blue hat I explained again that I didn't buy the "blue" hat from Dicks. She stated again, that because I didn't bring in the "blue" hat from Dicks she couldn't price match. It didn't matter that the items were the same in every aspect except for the color. The same style/model/etc.
There are three parts that pissed me off, Sophie said that she would do it, but then changed her mind because she had to come help the cashier do it. (Integrity) Treating me like I was below them. Remember that according to this Kohls (Sophie) if you see a advertisement for clothing, it must specifically state that the item on sale is only for the color pictured. If the picture shows yellow, only the yellow item is on sale and wasting my time. I returned the 2 hats quickly, and then Sophie had me run out to the car so that she could inspect the hats to see if they were the same. The only thing she inspected was the color of the hats. She didn't even look at the style.
I am sure that I will shop at Kohls again as I have a couple children, but most of the money that I did spend there will go to a different company because of the way that...
Read moreHOLY BLEEPING FRAGRANCE, BATMAN!!! I am not the kind to write low-star reviews, but I couldn't WAIT to get out of that store. I went in just to return some Amazon items, and I wish they had put a sign out front to tell customers that the customer service desk no longer processes returns, you do it at the checkout register now. So I walked all the way to the side/back of the store, just to see the "Closed" signs on the customer service desk and have to turn right around. I'm sure they want people to do that, so they can walk past more merchandise and maybe make a purchase. And then you have to walk through the tunnel of impulse items to get to the register. Honestly, I did see a couple items I was interested in, higher priced things like luggage and Igloo coolers. It's nice that they give you the 15% off coupon with your receipt from the Amazon returns, BUT, the overpowering fragrance gave me a headache within minutes of being in there, so much that I had to cover my nose and breathe through my shirt just to tolerate it. I practically ran out of there, despite having an injured ankle and already walking on it too much due to the lack of signage. Did not spend a dime in there.
I understand the marketing strategies they're going for here, but for me it had the opposite effect and I will be avoiding this place like the plague at all costs. Definitely will not buy anything there. I feel sorry for the employees who must be ingesting so many toxic chemicals from the fragrance that's pumped through there. It was as bad or worse than being stuck in an elevator with someone wearing WAY too much perfume. At least the elevator ride will end.
There really should be a CA Prop 65 warning on the...
Read moreI love Kohls. I went there all the time when I lived in Gig Harbor. Unfortunately I don’t care for this one anymore. Going in yesterday I was literally stalked by staff. I get retail has to follow suspicious people to make sure things don’t get stolen, but I didn’t understand why I was SO suspicious looking that the employee followed me the entire time I was shopping. She even got shoulder to shoulder with me when I got to the discounted jewelry. Just kinda shuffling the necklace boxes next to me that were already organized. I would see her behind racks when I was looking at things like underwear. I would see her around the corner talking to another associate, both staring at me, when I was looking for the juniors section. They would be in the isles, see me, and then spilt to different sides of the isles and watch me. I felt uncomfortable the entire time. I had three things in my hands. I paid for all three. I feel like her time could have been spent on some other people I saw in the store clearly intoxicated. Was it the slight bit of purple in my bangs? Nothing else I was wearing (Calvin Kline, Michael Kors, Pink.)or doing felt suspicious enough to myself to be followed like that. I won’t be returning. I’ll be doing my shopping online from now on with Kohls. It was such an uncomfortable and even scary situation being followed like that, that I was scared to walk back into the store to get to my car after shopping in the mall because I thought she’d hassle me upon returning. Over nothing. Like I stated before, I know retail watches suspicious people, but that...
