There's a great selection of stands but not enough of them. The spread out stands were really nice actually and would be a pleasant permanent change. Hopefully the city can use more streets in the future to add more stands.
We wander into both brick and mortar stores and thru outdoor market stands when we visit the Farmer's Market. I just wish some of the stores opened earlier on Saturdays though. It's a great opportunity for those stores to also attract new customers.
Beloit is a cool little city. There is a quiet playground within close walking distance to the market if you want to give the kids some playtime. The river runs right thru the city giving a great refreshing experience and food trucks offer a selection for those hungry moments.
We even added going back downtown for dinner one night after seeing some of the restaurants. If you are looking for a nice day out, the Farmer's Market is a great way to start...

Be sure to ask produce vendors if the produce is from their gardens because their are a few vendors that sell fruits and vegetables that they purchase from places that pick the produce before it's ripe, so the produce taste just like what you get from the grocery stores. The locally grown produce is worth every dollar and cent. there is not enough variety produce, that is, most produce vendors were selling the same types of produce.
