I was recently married and went with Formalities for my Bridesmaids dresses and tux's. Lets just say our party spent a lot of money at this establishment, we had a large wedding party. When our tuxes came in they were the wrong ones. I called the store and the employee was very poliet and quick to help! 10 minutes later another one called, also poliet and wanted to confirm my order just to be safe... I was very pleased and happy with them, so i thought this mix up wasnt going to be that bad....I WAS WRONG! The owner called me and insisted I was wrong! I had made the mistake not her girls writing down the order. She was telling me order and style numbers. Excuse me, I do not work there, these numbers mean nothing to me! OOOOH do not tell her that, She told me.."You need to control yourself or I will not work with you" No bride wants or needs to hear this 2 days before her wedding! So after a half hour of cheek chewing on how I was wrong she askes me that I will be paying for the restocking fee. My fiance took care of the rest of that days conversations! I was done. Now Friday---the day before our wedding--- she calls me and I let it go to voicemail becuase i do not need her voice in my head! "Becca, your tuxes are in and we need a chat before you can pick them up" I had a bridesmaid call and the owner was not happy! She said she would not let anyone pick up the tuxes until i came in and talked with her because i was so "rude and disrespectful to her employees" ummm no I was not! Again my wonderful fiance and his mother to my rescue!
I will never set foot in this building again! i will be telling all my nieces do not go here for prom! I will tell all my unmarried friends do not go here!!! This woman made my wedding...
Read moreI never thought that I would write a review on Google but the experience that my son, his bride and I had with Formalities was so disgusting that I would never want anyone else to experience it.
It all started just fine...bought the bridesmaid dresses and order the tuxes. Great customer service until Formalities get the money in their hands. Then the problems start and the customer service goes right out the door because of the owner of the shop. I have never met such a snob in my life. The owner is a condescending, rude, unapologetic know-it-all. The problems we had are to numerous to list but the shop owner was the worse person that I have ever had to deal with. She is very snide and insulting.
So future brides and customers, be forewarned about this shop...don't be bamboozled and buy anything through this shop because the headaches will come and they...
Read moreI am very unsatisfied with their service. I live 2 hours away and I chose to get my dress altered here just for them to turn me down. I specifically called and made an appointment and in that phone call I said that “I ordered my dress online,” they didn’t say anything about it and they still let me make an appointment. I drove the 2 hours, one way, and when I got there they looked at the tag and said to me, “ we’re too booked right now we can not take any dresses bought outside our store.” I had made an appointment the previous week and I made sure that I mentioned I had bought the dress online when I made my appointment. I was very unimpressed with their customer service. You would have thought they would have mentioned that they don’t take dresses outside of their store. I would love to give...
