Travis Knight Art — Local services in Bend

I’m not sure I can put into words the quality of work, and the quality of experience that I was so fortunate to receive with Travis Knight. From the first moment I reached out, Travis was a true professional but also exceptionally kind, patient, humble, generous, very fast and immensely creative. I asked Travis to paint nine custom landscape portraits based on nine sub-par reference photos on one 7’ antique metal saw. All with the caveat that they needed to be up next to each other, even though these nine reference photos could not have been more different. All of them were the most special and sentimental places to my husband and myself. In light conversation we exchanged, I mentioned little details of some of these places, and when Travis sent me progress photos near the end of the project I had real tears well up in my eyes as I noticed those little details as surprise incorporations into his work! I mentioned that one of the photos was my husband and his father’s favorite fishing spot and how many weekends they had spend there in my husband’s childhood. Travis not only remembered that but incorporated the most perfect jumping trout into the photo of that lake. I also briefly mentioned that our wedding day was the most magical and memorable because of the absolute downpour of rain that day. Not only did he include my husband and I (I sent him a wedding photo for reference of the background but did not expect him to include us) but he added this incredible effect with the paint to make it look like it’s raining! I could go on for pages about the quality of his work and the thoughtfulness of his craft. I asked him to recreate places that are so special to us I was truthfully a little nervous that they wouldn’t come across in paint the way I see/remember them. But when we received this finished product from Travis, I told him: this is what I see when I close my eyes and think of these places. What an exceptional gift to be able to translate someone else’s eyes and heart to a canvas. I was able to give this to my husband as his Christmas gift and I also cannot put into words his reaction. He has spent hours staring at each detail, each scene, each memory. His eyes have filled with tears each time he tells me how much it means to him. It’s now right under our kids on our list of things to grab if the house is on fire. This will not be our last purchase from Travis, we are already dreaming up what else we could have him do. Not sure where to begin because I have so many good things to share about my experience with Travis! We commissioned two murals and a large piece for our hallway in our newly remodeled home in Tetherow. Travis was so open to our ideas and added so much value fine tuning our vision for a large landscape mural highlighting the mountain range looking west from Bend. We wanted it to be fun and educational for our guest and he absolutely nailed it! The monochromatic/sepia tones perfectly complement the interior colors. The second mural was a real challenge due to narrowness of the art niche. As you can see, he nailed the scene and made it feel like you were riding the lift! We had detailed vision of the bison piece and he brought it life and exceeded our expectations! Great experience...

Travis is a enormously talented artist, with a magic eye & hand; he’s a unique talent with the ability to capture every color, detail, and shape. I hired TK last December to capture a very dear image for me and he absolutely knocked it out of the park. He underpromised and overdelivered; not only was the painting amazing, but the amount of professionalism during the process was top notch.
