Knapp's — Local services in Bennington

I want this to be a local hobby shop that can visit regularly with my sons since we live in bennington.

I was dismayed to see both owners i presume not wearing masks behind the counter but was willing to give it a try for the sake of my boys finding models to complete before they work on the ones my father left incomplete when he passed away a few weeks ago

When my 13yo son asked them if they had a spitfire airplane, the tone of voice they used was dismissive and snarky instead of the, we don't but we could probably order it for you the at i expected would have been happy with. I believe in supporting your LHS but, if they are just going to be belligerent and snarky, I'll move on to a different store even if it's an hour away.

It's a shame. It's an interesting shop. I hope they learn to take a different approach to customers....

Worked with Jayne to select and purchase my first ukelele yesterday. A great way to stay occupied during the stay-at-home order. Jayne talked me through the options in the size I wanted and answered my questions allowing me to decide exactly just what I needed to buy. I ended up with a gorgeous looking and sounding instrument that was perfectly tuned (like, I did not have to turn a single peg!) and a few needed accessories. At no point did Jayne try to push any product on me: she just answered a few questions and then when I asked for a capo she asked me what color. She heard me ask my husband if he had a tuner (he is a guitarist, more on that later) and she said I wouldn't need a separate one.
