Unprofessional and never listens to what their clients actually want. I told the lady that although my hair is curly, itâs thin and doesnât require much heat.
After coming out of the dryer, I wanted to only fix my ends because it was frizzy. Well, she started passing the blower starting at the root. I reminded her that I wanted to minimize heat and only fix the ends since my roots were already dried.
She started tell me that she HAS to start at the root in order to fix the ends. Even the other hairdressers (who really shouldâve been minding their own business with their own clients) came to me to tell me about MY hair. Iâve straightened my own hair for 5 years and went natural 3 years ago which is why my curls are intact and not damaged lol I think I know about my own hair.
Felt condescending when they spoke to me as if I didnât work at a hair salon (but of course they didnât know that).
They charged me extra for conditioner under the dryer but didnât tell me it would cost more. They made it seem like it was a part of the service.
Also everyone here is obsessed with flat hair. So if you like a lot of volume, definitely...
Read moreTerrible experience with salon. I went in for a wash and set and specifically told the owner that my hair tangles and to please be gentle. She proceeded to wash my hair extremely rough as if she was shampooing a dog! Finally when itâs time to condition and detangle she PULLS my hair apart and is basically breaking all of my hair off. I asked her to not do that and she told me that âshe doesnât untangle hairâ like seriously you are a hair stylist who just shampooed my hair!!! I ended up leaving with the conditioner and a head full of tangles and clumps. I have a ton of hair loss now bc of the way she knotted up my hair. I have been going to Dominican salons for over 20years and this has been the worse hair experience of my life. Iâm seriously considering pursuing legal action against this owner. She is the WORSE!!!!! I would give zero...
Read moreI went in about two weeks ago asking about a highlight consultation and to get an estimate on how much it would cost for face-framing highlights. Without even touching my hair, the hairdresser told me she couldnât work with it because it was too dry and âlooked bad to work with.â She went on to say that I would have to come in every two weeks if I even considered doing highlights, and that I should cut off the parts that were already highlighted. I found this very unprofessional and discouraging. She put me down about my hair without Even examining or touching it properly, and Considering the reason I came in to refresh my highlights and feel confident about my hair. Overall, the interaction felt unnecessarily rude...
