Just went there today for the first time and definitely the last time. I got some glass cut work to be done and gave them the exact size, back home I see it is actually bigger that my order. So I went back to Outdoor, and while they admitted it was their responsibility, they claimed that they could not fix it and they donāt have any solution but to come another time. There were 4 professionals in front of me including the manager and no one was able to cut the glass properly. But I would have to come another time?? Finally one of them told me I could get reimbursed, and that I should better go to Ace Hardware. Ok fair. Going back to the cashier, the same person I paid to two hours earlier told me that since I paid cash they could not pay be back. She could clearly remember me, though I did not have the receipt. The manager standing next was having a fun time when looking at me⦠what an unprofessional place !! Run !!
Update As per the response received from the owner.. I did reach out to the contact and never received an answer. So fake response,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI didn't feel safe inside the store. They were not sanitizing shopping cards or offering sanitizer or gloves to customers. There was no do-it-yourselfs sanitizing station for the shopping carts either. I saw one employee with the mask halfway down, exposing his nose, another walking around in the nursery section, where it is difficult to keep a 6 ft distance anyway when passing, with his mask pulled all the way off, walking up to customers, asking if they need help. When I said to him, that I would feel more comfortable if he'd put on the mask, he just stared at me for a moment, then walked away without saying anything and without putting on his mask. This was my first visit back since the store reopened, and I won't be back until management has assured customers in the neighborhood that they will...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePoor selection for such a large store. I've gone here several times only to find items out of stock. Their prices are consistently higher than the big orange home improvement store (you know the one) and their return policy is also more restrictive. Occasionally they will have a decent sale or a 'we pay the tax weekend' so the price will be reasonable.
Most frustrating thing about this location is the consistent lack of staff to assist you / ask a question, and the long lines at the cashier. I've waited 5+ minutes on the majority of my visits. Only decent thing about OSH is that the staff are super friendly.
You'd be better off going to a local hardware store like Ashby Lumber or True Value on Shattuck. If you don't care about service, save yourself a few bucks and go to the big...
