I was biking on a cold rainy day when I spotted a food truck bearing a towering pharaoh, and paused to examine the offerings. As I was window shopping (I had left my wallet at home), the owner emerged and insisted I accept a bowl of soup. He was undeterred by my lack of payment methods: “Pay me tomorrow, eat now!” Like many children of immigrants, I was naturally unable to reject his aggressively nurturing presence as he commanded me to get off my bike and eat. Presently, the soup revived my capacity for coherent thought and I realized I had my phone and could order to my heart (and stomach)’s content. The standout: the chunky nugget of falafel with a crunchy exterior and fluffy couscous interior, accompanied with an incredible sauce. He and his wife (?) also smoke their own eggplants! Everything was vegetarian, hearty and delicious. Most of all, I was incredibly thankful to receive this stellar level of hospitality from someone who clearly loves to feed people. I felt like I had emerged from my uncle’s home: dazed, warmed, and balancing more leftovers than I could...

2nd Review: Chef Elmy is awesome sauce! The Man has a touch to food!!! His sweetheart, she's super nice and you will see her cashiering- only been here twice and I simply love!
The first time I tried a beef gyro- I've never had one prior to this and it did not disappoint.
They start off with a bamboo shoot soup that is very comforting and light.
The couple were kind enough to make me an awesome dish for a special holiday today. I'm sure they sell it often, it's so delicious! It consists of lightly fried Salmon, prawns, and the most delicious sausage I've ever tasted! I can't eat pork so I was very happy to hear it's Lamb. I'm so surprised how tasty it was! Read moreIf Anthony Bourdain was still alive :(, he would, without a doubt in my mind, visit Chef Elmy.
Chef Elmy is a genuine character, and so is his food. When I asked him about what his bread was made with, he replied, "It's made with love!"
When you come here, he treats you not as a mere customer but someone to share a love of food with. We were doing a team lunch, and he instantly handed all of us little bowls of soup before we even ordered. "What is this?" "Medicine!" For Chef Elmy, food is the source of health. He values fresh ingredients and fresh cooking. He speaks the same: very directly.
As you can see in the image, he'll serve you a feast. The menu and what he serves will always be changing not only because the availability of fresh ingredients, but because for him this is the Art of Cooking, and art cannot stand still.
If you don't finish your food, it will upset him. But you will finish it, because it's really good! Come hungry.
Overall, Chef Elmy's cooking is a must...
