CVS Pharmacy — Local services in Bethesda

This CVS is understaffed, unprofessional and rude. The pharmacy clerk was short and rude to me. My prescription was filled incorrectly and she did not explain to me how they would fix the mistake. Instead she told me to wait for her to finish the orders for the line of people behind me. I was the first in the store to start the day. I requested her to fix the mistake since I was first in the line and she refused. I spoke with the manager Nancy who tried to blame me for their mistake. I can see that the staff follows the manager's poor customer service practices because of the way that she communicated to me. She told me that the clerk did nothing wrong by telling me to go back and wait. She also said that there is not enough staff in the morning when they open. I expected the clerk to simply tell me when to come back to pick up the corrected prescription. Instead the manager and clerk argued with me. Stay away from this location, the bad...

The line for pickup was 8 deep. There were 5 people waiting to drop off prescriptions and only 1 pharmacist on duty. The clerk at the pickup counter was new and couldn't figure out how to use the system. She kept apologizing saying she was never trained. After 45 minutes in line, which was now 12 deep, I had to spell my name 3 times and repeat my date of birth twice. Frustrated, she abandoned the register and disappeared, leaving a line of frustrated customers. Finally, the pharmacist came to the rescue, scanned my meds, hit a few keys, and I was done. This is no way to treat customers. I'm moving all my prescriptions to the Giant Pharmacy...

Overall: 3.50. Good experience picking up a new prescription. Consulted with pharmacist about when to take my medications and possible side effects. He provided helpful guidance on what I could expect and tips on timing to take other maintenance medications. Constructively, there’s no formal queueing setup for Rx pickup. At busy times, customers picking up Rxs form a line forms leading into the candy aisle. It makes for a cramped experience in need...
