I typically have had amazing experiences at Little Bellies, we went to one throughout our second pregnancy and loved every session so we of course were very excited to come back when we found out we were expecting again! However, This Bethesda Location has fully turned me away from coming back ever again. Our first appointment there we had gotten into the office maybe 3 minutes late? I had even called beforehand to let them know we might be a few minutes late but would be there and were totally fine with it meaning we have a shorter appointment time. Once we walked in the door, the grumpy woman up front IMMEDIATELY started reprimanding me for being "very late". She just kept saying over, and over, and over again "you know you late right? You late eh? How about you not be late next time?" . I could even hear her going on and on in the hallway about how late I was...all for 3 minutes. No one has ever made me feel so unwelcome in a space before, when all I wanted was to see our baby with my family while we were in town. I later found out it's all because she just wanted to get home and I guess me offsetting that by a few minutes was enough to ruin her day. We also unfortunately got her as the person doing my ultrasound today and she was just as miserable. She called us into the back with a huge sigh and "come on". The whole time she was just very unpleasant and I couldn't wait to leave which was very unfortunate because I brought my husband and kids with me this time and they all felt unwelcome as well. She also seemed very rushed to get it done and we weren't even in the room for 10 minutes before shooed out. What was supposed to be lovely a time with family to see our last baby, has been far from a good experience thanks to this locations worker.
However, Sandra did our first scan and she was absolutely amazing! She even apologized for how the other woman had treated us upon walking through the door.
Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this business and have been looking for a new...
Read moreAs a first time mom I was so excited to meet my baby boy but that happiness and excitement quickly turned into disappointment and sadness upon I arrived at exactly 5:05 and the clock turned into 5:06 as I’m entering the suite. The technician (shahad- got the name from customer service) came without introducing herself or welcoming me into the facility. She just said I was late and they needed to close so she could only do a 15 min session instead of the 25 min session I had booked. She rushed me to the room and began the session. As she began the session I asked about the heartbeat buddy which I had as an add-on and she said there was no time and I would have to come back. The baby was not being cooperative and she did not make any effort to encourage baby to move. Just kept saying I needed to come back. During the session she was very unfriendly making me feel unwelcomed. After I insisted, she did the heartbeat buddy with a roughly 6.5 secs recording and according to the website it should have been 20 seconds. I received no printed pictures just the flash drive containing unlabeled pictures and no video clips, not even one recording of the heartbeat. I had family from out of town with me and they were all disappointed with the experience. I have a much better experience at my OBGYN. This was supposed to be a joyful and memorable experience especially being my first child. I shed tears once I got in the car out of sadness. I chose this place because of the services described on their website and thought it would be money well spent but it was the opposite. I would have rather reschedule and receive a full memorable experience than a rushed session with half of the...
Read moreOverall, we’re glad we opted for an elective 3D ultrasound, but there were a few issues with our experience that are worth mentioning. We chose a package that included an option to return if they couldn’t get clear images of the baby, which seemed reassuring at first.
The ultrasound technician spent a significant amount of time lecturing me about my water intake, claiming that my amniotic fluid was too low to capture a good image of the baby’s face. This made me feel guilty and anxious. However, less than two weeks later, a medical ultrasound at my hospital confirmed that my amniotic fluid levels were normal. The tech’s comments were not only inaccurate but also inappropriate. The real issue was that the baby was simply head down and sleeping during part of the appointment. While we paid extra for additional time and a return visit if necessary, it felt like they didn’t actually want us to come back. The technician’s approach made the experience stressful and unenjoyable, especially when she unfairly blamed me for the baby napping.
We were told that the entire session would be recorded and saved to a USB. At one point, the baby grabbed her umbilical cord, and we were excited to share that special moment with our family. Unfortunately, the video didn’t save correctly, and the file on the USB was just a blank screen for 25 minutes. This was extremely disappointing, leaving us feeling overcharged for a session we couldn’t even fully...
