TA Truck Service — Local services in Big Spring

Was brought in for a wheel seal leak. Called me about an hour later telling me that i needed a new spindle. I drive drown there to see it and i tell them to go ahead and put the new seal on and they refused. Told me it was against there policy but I wouldn't have brought it here if i knew i was going to be forced to do what they say with my truck. Next day i come in and talk to the manager and she tells me that they should've given me a paper to sign about their policy but never recieved it nor was told about it till after they took apart my axle. I told her that i just need them to put the seal on and that i can take it somewhere else but she also refused because of company policy that i was never told about til after they took apart the axle. I explained to her i don't have the type of money they are talking about to fix the truck of the issue they are talking about but again just apologized and didn't offer any help other than get the job done here or tow it somewhere else. Very unprofessional of how they handled a situation that they made happen. So i ask for a quote for all the work they are going to do and charge me for and it comes out to a whopping $2,260.21 and i have no other choice but to accept it because they can't do anything better for me. I come in at 4:40pm on the 4th of September and they tell me it's now $2,955.91 and I'm confused as to why when we had already agreed to $2,260.21. They added a wheel hub and a torque drive that i was never told about. I paid because they cost me already 2 days of no work and charged me close to $3k by force. I don't appreciate how these people handled my situation nor the cost. I have plenty of friends on the road and i will let them all know to never trust this establishment nor it's employees. They could've given me a discount for the issue they created or offered to tow it to where i needed to go because they were very dishonest and didn't let me know of their policy beforehand or any additional work they had done without my consent. Never and I mean Never come to this establishment for any work.

Edit: The upper Management called me about this review and did refund me a partial of the price. It's not much but it was a good gesture of good faith for my troubles. I do appreciate them getting with their people and coaching their team on how to better handle situations like mine. Hope they do better and this doesn't get repeated to another driver. Honestly my experience wasn't too great at first I pulled up I'm a truck driver and checking the place out looks like it has everything in order but then I go to the back to order from the restaurants the lady seems like she was strung out on something one of the guys making the chicken would go back and forth to the bathroom I guess he was cleaning it and I didn't even see him changing his gloves out and then the guys in the back just completely ignored everybody when they're less than like 10 ft away from the register like I would order something and there was no excuse for that person to mess the order up but it's almost like they intentionally did it but then again honestly I think it's just lack of communication and the management and that Popeyes there is absolutely horrible and I had to call somebody out to the register to just pick up a drink and on top of everything else I practically got robbed of $11 there so I don't think I'll be going back beware my fellow truckers. just keep an eye on some of these travel stops some of these truck stops I'm not telling anybody anything different but they'll get you and they'll get you quick all in all...

Horrible service in their mechanic shop! Just spent almost $900 to basically replace a simple a/c hose and the part that they charged $160 to go get in Odessa (conveniently didn't warn us about that insane fee ahead of time) didn't fix the problem. DO yourself a favor and find another repair shop. This is the second time they have charged us an outrageous fee and it will definitely be the last! Our driver had to spend the night in a motel just to be lied to about being first in the repair shop the next morning, and instead they didn't even get it in the shop until after lunch. Then to add insult to injury they didn't get the right parts and he had to return back to their shop the next day to try to finish the repair only to have it rigged up and not properly fixed.
