Country Pride — Restaurant in Big Spring

I came in sat down watch Jessica walk by me twice .she looked the other way every time she passed me. She had 3 customers she was waiting on what time she wasn't hiding behind the serving wall.I finally ask her if she was the only waitress after a 10 min wait.She said no that she would be waiting on me in a moment.10 mins later she stopped and ask what I needed.I ordered decaf coffee .and steak skillet.she came back after 10 mins said coffee was cooking.she finally brings my coffee but no milk I ask for I ran her down for milk 5 mins later it comes coffee is cold by now.I wait on my skillet it comes with no toast she said it will be a few mins cause she just put it in.smh..She brings it to me and I show her there is something plastic hanging off my eggs.In picture.she says oh looks like it's from eggs turns to walk off.Cooks need to check products before sending out.I also had to order a side dish of mushrooms because he forgot it in dish.I've been here over a hr she has yet asked me if I need a second cup of coffee or how is your meal I don't recommend sitting in her area .She wanted to argue about what kind of coffee I WAS DRINKING I ORDERED DECAF.I didn't get it neather time thanks but no thanks I'm...

This Country Pride location is rather hit or miss. Last night, they simply dropped the ball, though. When a waitress recommends NOT eating the daily special (Thursday's beef tips and noodles) because the noodles "look mushy and bad", I should heed the mental warning bells. A scan of the very tired looking food on the buffet should have warned me in the first place, I must admit. Instead, I tried breakfast. They proved you really can screw up bacon (what is so difficult about making crisp bacon??? It's NOT rocket science...) and over-medium eggs. The eggs were barely done, the bacon only made one trip back and all of the food except for the pancakes tasted like old grease.

To be fair, I HAVE gotten some good meals here, including an occasional buffet, but the kitchen is seriously inconsistent depending upon which crew is working at any given time. If the buffet looks dried out and unattended, I certainly won't trust the kitchen for anything off the menu again...

We have gone here many times and usually enjoy the atmosphere. Last night, however, we received sub par service. I ordered grill chicken with cajun seasoning but the brought out chicken fried chicken and told me that what I ordered couldn't be found on the computer screen and that this is what the menu meant. I showed them on the menu where it said it and that it was a healthy option, which is what I wanted. Salad bar was also not open and no hours were posted for it. Really disappointed but will...
