The Billings Ace on 13th St is very unhelpful. When I go into the store the sales reps go straight to the male customers to ask then if they need help. Being a woman, the helpers ignore me until I ask someone where something is. Today was the last straw. I asked an employee where the pea gravel was. She had to ask someone working in the outdoors department where it was. I was told where it was and that it was about 40 pounds per bag. Being a 60+ year old woman, it should be obvious that I will need assistance. I went back to the gravel, and there was no way I could lift the bag. TWO EMPLOYEES KNEW WHAT I WAS THERE FOR, AND NEITHER ONE HELPED ME WITH THE GRAVEL!! I WILL NOT NOT BACK...
Read moreMy wife and I shop ace hardware and are and have been part of the rewards program for years. Today, We attempted to use coupons sent to us. We complied with the terms of the coupon but apparently failed to notice the requirement that we had to download the app in order to receive the discount provided by the app. We shop ace hardware even though their products are priced higher than other stores in our area to support local. So instead of providing good customer service and experience, they choose to essentially punish loyal customers for not wanting to download another app on their phone. If this is how we will be treated in the future, we will have no problem...

Not only was he very rude but refused to help us and when we were walking up front to pay he was staring us down and following us making us feel like he is assuming we are thieving from the store! I am in this store and many others everyday and I don't conduct business this way and have never been treated like this before. I think that older guy really needs to be taken to before more people decide it's not worth it...
