Feist Electronics — Local services in Bismarck

Good morning just wanted to put it out there to let everyone know that when I took my old phonograph radio to feisty electronics they said they would have to replace wiring. And all they did was put shrink tubing over the Old wire. They refused to work on the phonograph telling me that it was out of time and was spinning too slow but that wasn't the case they just didn't want to work on it all I asked was for them to replace the needle and they said that it was glued in and they didn't want to get into that I said okay I'll do it myself I did leave the phonograph. 2 weeks later they said it was ready I came back and no they didn't replace any wiring they just put shrink tube over it. They also said they replaced two of the tubes which was not so I had marked all the tubes before I took it in and they were all the same. I also gave him a heads up and told him that I was also an electronic technician I guess he didn't believe me however the radio does come in clear now and I replaced the needle cartridge myself on the phonograph so basically I paid almost $400 just for them to put shrink tube on the wires. Yes they do sell good quality stuff at reasonable prices but like all other technicians in Bismarck they lie to you so they can make a little more money on the deal and that's not good old honest business especially coming from a family-owned business. I worked on electronics for the first 10 years of my life and I wouldn't recommend anyone to take their items there unless they want...

I'm really disappointed. The USB port on my microphone needed to be reflowed/resoldered and this business was recommended because the person had their exact same microphone repaired here. The owner wouldn't even touch the mic, literally. I told them that I brought it in because, though it's a relatively simple fix, I did not want to buy the tools. The owner told me they make this model of microphone's cheap so you have to buy another. I talked to him about the videos my friend sent about reflowing or resoldering the USB port back onto the board. The owner said "I wouldn't know." Is this not the point of me bringing it here to have to looked at. I wanted to give him my money, even if it was to check to see if it was repairable. I'm not upset, just disappointed. I took it to Raheed & Sons 5 minutes away and they knew exactly what needed to be done....

Let me start by saying that this guy is great! We had an issue finding a repair shop for a circuit board. We called the manufacturer and they put us in contact with some of the distributors. After countless calls we were still at square one! After calling Feist Electronics and speaking with Daryl, there was hope. We had our guy drive an hour and a half to Feist to get it looked at. After the repair, we got back and tested it on the hydraulic system and it performed perfectly! If I could give 6 stars I would.
