Aide’s Kitchen — Restaurant in Bismarck

This review is long overdue. I constantly find myself thinking about Aides Kitchen. I have only ate here twice, once to go and once for catering. I ordered catering 52 hours before my event, which to me, is insanely short notice and I would never recommend such short notice. However, aides kitchen was happy to assist and eager. I ordered Pollo, Carne Asada and Barbacoa meat for tacos, rice, beans, salsa verde and salsa roja, and the meal came with premade tortillas! Which, I also found out afterwards, that at an extra cost they offer and make hand-made, homemade tortillas too! Everything was SO so so good. Hands down, the best Mexican rice in the Bismarck/Mandan area and dare I say the entire state. The salsas?! So flavorful! So spicy! So tasty! Everyone was absolutely ranting and raving about the delicious salsa. Everything was so so good. From the accommodating customer service for such a short notice order, to the accuracy in such a big order and everything in between. I wanted so badly to love this restaurant. The fact that 5 people came in, ordered and went with their food and we kept waiting with nothing was disappointing. After 45 minutes we left empty handed. Sadly, my son was wearing a political hat that I suspect was the reason. You have 100% right to refuse us service, I respect that, but please have the decency to use your voice and don’t waste my time. I don’t want to ruin your star rating hence the 5.
