I don't take leaving a negative review on a local business lightly. But we have been through TWO home builds with purchasing all of our appliances from Flecks and I have been increasingly frustrated with the LACK OF COMMUNICATION.
Most of the time, I do not get a call back when I leave a message. I finally started actually writing down dates and keeping track. Since then, I had TEN phone calls over a 6 months period that were either not returned or not followed up on when I was told it would be followed up on. That's what I am most frustrated about. I even switched from dealing with a sales person to a manager and it wasn't any different.
The main issue was a defective part with our very expensive Viking fridge. It's been over 2 years and we still do not have a replacement part. I understand that is out of Fleck's control to some degree if Viking will not cooperate but it went so far that I had to call Viking myself to get answers. That should not happen. For at least a year, I was told "parts are on order" and never more explanation from that. When I finally called Viking myself, I was told the part we needed was IN STOCK. I was furious. Well, the part got shipped and it was a gross sun-faded yellow color (instead of white). Flecks didn't even inspect the part before we picked it up. We discovered it when we opened the box at home. A second part was shipped. This time, when we picked it up, we looked at it before taking it home. Again, yellow color that again, Flecks did NOT inspect before calling us to come pick it up. (Poor, poor quality control.) Since then, a correct color part could not be obtained and Viking is providing no communication and no updates (or so I am told).
So we bought a BRAND NEW high end fridge with a defective part that can't be fixed. I had to ask for a very small monetary compensation to try to make it right; I probably should have asked for more for all the TIME and frustration I have spent on this. As a customer, I felt like I didn't matter. And I felt like everyone thought "Oh geez, here she is calling again." Never once did anyone just reach out or just call to say "Hey, sorry, I don't have an update for you yet but just wanted to let you know we are still working on it!" A small gesture like that would have gone a long way. It would have make us feel appreciated in the smallest bit. For the amount of $$$$$ we have spent at Flecks buying appliances for two sets of homes, with the second set all being high end brands, well, I would have expected to be treated better.    Read moreI ordered an LG microwave and trim kit from Flecks and was told they would arrive within a month. The microwave showed up within a few weeks but the trim kit did not show up for over 3 months. My custom cabinets were designed based on the dimensions provided on LGs website for the trim kit. These dimensions are incorrect so be sure to triple check the dimensions when ordering a trim kit for custom cabinets.
If the trim kit would have been received on a timely fashion, the cabinet maker would have been able to make the necessary adjustments. The cabinets were fully installed before I even received a call from Flecks to come get the trim kit. Picked up the trim kit, realized it would not work for my cabinets so returned it. Not only was the trim kit extremely late, it is the wrong size based on the website and I was charged a $60 restocking fee. So I am out $60 with no solution for my microwave.
Very dissappointed with Flecks and will never step foot in the store again. I also discourage anyone else from going...

Did not want to call the big box stores for numerous reasons but mainly felt a local store would be more knowledgeable to my needs as it appears they have come a long ways since my last purchase top load front load steam clean etc. Shirley answered to phone and I have never been treated so rudely on the phone on my 61 years. I basically asked her what she would buy type questions and Very few of them before she said you should come by here and look, thanks and click. I am not easily speechless but that one got me.
