Halberstadt's Downtown Bismarck — Local services in Bismarck

EDIT: since I cannot reply to Halberstadt’s response below, I will add it up here…. What a perfect example you just displayed of your incredibly defensive business style and immediate response to point fingers.

This was hands down the worst part of my entire wedding planning process. My husband and I were living in Bismarck, but getting married near Fargo. Our plan was to pick out colors at the Bismarck location but order through the Fargo store. Of course the Bismarck employees talked us into ordering through them…. BIG MISTAKE. Every single person in our wedding party had some type of error…. Wrong size, wrong color, delivered to wrong locations, etc. As far as my husbands tie being the wrong color, only to find out the tie the Bismarck location recommended, “wasn’t part of the wedding package.” Had to settle for a tie I didn’t love as a rental instead. To top it off, they played a fun game of pointing fingers and blaming the Fargo location and us for all the errors. Absolutely disgusted by the number of issues and how it was handled. Thank god for the Fargo location for coming to the rescue and fixing the MANY issues quickly...

Updated: The store called & is making things right with son’s suit. We understand there are things that go wrong but what are the odds both son & husband for the same event. We appreciate Alex reaching out.

Our daughter got married & the suit situation ended up being very stressful. My son bought a suit. They measured him months before. A week prior to wedding he picks it up & it ALL was too small. They traded the pants but still were tight/small & the jacket was hard to button, it was small too. It was too late to get items that fit him ordered. Now he is left with a $350 suit he bought that can never be worn again. The dad of the bride rented a suit & the day before the wedding there is no suit. They wanted him to stop in the morning of the wedding as they cud get one overnighted but why would they expect us to take that risk. The manager found all the items he needed within the store so it ended working out but stressful. A couple other groomsmen’s jackets were too small. I don’t understand how the store measures everyone & the items don’t fit when they arrive? This should be one of the least of the worries when...

I went to Minot to get some nice clothing. That's a 1.5 hour drive already. There was nothing and no help at Penneys or Kohl's, so I drove another 1.5 hours to Bismarck, and I'm so glad I did. I got a suit, a couple shirts and ties, 2 pairs of shoes, and a more casual but still nice outfit. The experience was fantastic. I'm a truck driver, and haven't bought anything nice in over a decade. Alex picked some options for me and she did a great job. I left feeling like I'm going to look great. The other people working there were great, too. I will totally make the drive again if my son or I need to get some really nice clothes. It's not cheap, but it's worth...
