Raeed & Sons — Local services in Bismarck

I’ve previously had work done here so in August 2023 when I needed the charging port on an iPad repaired, I didn’t hesitate to go back. I was quoted $30-140 and assured it shouldn’t take more than a day or two.

In October I called and got the standard, “sorry, we’re so busy but you’re up next.”

In December I called around and found another local shop that does the same type of work and went in to retrieve the iPad. While they struggled to find my item, a woman told me all about how they were the only people in town doing this type of work. Eventually I was shown a dismantled iPad and told it would be ready in the next day or two and promised a phone call.

I waited until after the holiday and called again. A different person than the one I had been working with answered and when he couldn’t find my item right away (yes, on all occasions I had my claim ticket) asked for my contact information and promised to call me back within ten minutes. He did call back as promised to tell me he had found the iPad but there was a note on it that he didn’t understand, and he needed to speak to the tech.

Then the original person called to tell me the iPad had been ready for ages, that they had called and I must have just forgotten that we spoke. I chose not to mention having been there the previous week, dropped everything and drove over. Had it ended there I would have just called it a lesson learned and walked away. But it didn’t. The original person (I believe the proprietor) came out and went on and on about how long it had been sitting there waiting for me and I must not check my messages very well. I said, “you don’t remember me being here last week and you showing me a dismantled iPad?” That put him on the defensive at which point he started yelling at me for being anxious. I assured him I was not anxious but angry. The “conversation” went down from there.

In the end he charged me $140 but of course their credit card machine was down forcing me to use their handy dandy ATM machine with the $3.50 service charge.

Once again I brought in a 5 year old work phone that had a shattered back & front (again), hopeful they could grant it life one last time. The 3 times they have fixed this phone's screen, I was extremely impressed, the last time they were even able to fix the screen pen that was stuck in the case.

This time I asked if they could even find parts to repair it, they said they could. They offered me my choice of colors if I was ok with waiting a few days for the parts to arrive, & as much as I would have loved to have it in any color I wanted, I needed it back the same day for work. They were extremely professional, & very responsive to my needs. While we could have ordered in a new back & front, the prices for those parts online were around $300 for just the screen. They decided to check what phones they had in stock, & they just happened to have the exact model of phone I had in their case. Their prices were fantastic & well under what the parts that I could buy online were at. I was even able to pick up a new case to help protect it this time. They are always very quick, & for someone that has to make well over an hour trip just to get to town, that is a big deal for me. They have never let me down, & I am always so impressed by their work & customer service.

Honestly, after my friend's referral to come here 4 years ago, I have never gone anywhere else to get our phones fixed, & I have no doubt they will continue to be the only place we trust with our phones &...

I don’t normally take the time to write a Google review, but I really wanted to share my experience today at Raeed & Son's.

I had such a great experience here! I brought in my Nintendo 2DS XL because the battery needed replacing, but the screws were stripped and the case was cracked on the side so I couldnt do it myself. The repair was not an easy job, but the owner did an outstanding job — he carefully removed the stripped screw, took out the glued-in battery, replaced it, and even fixed the cracked plastic near the volume button slider so it now looks flawless.

The owner and his wife were such amazing people — so kind, helpful, and welcoming. The quality of the work and the way they treat customers is absolutely top-notch.
