For the life of me I don't know how this place gets 4 stars, but I'd give it zero stars if I could.
When we arrived it wasn't busy, yet we waited 5 minutes to be seated. That was probably because the host was too busy making kissy face with his girlfriend/wife. Then we were seated, and it took ten minutes to say hello to us and get our drink order - iced tea - which they were out of. How are you out of iced tea?
After another 5 minutes, we got our drinks, chips, salsa and guacamole. It was one of the worst tasting "guacamole" we've ever eaten... it was brownish green and smooth, and it was probably a day or two away from being spoiled. The salsa was also smooth and tasted fresh...fresh out of the jar. After this, we didn't even stick around for the enchiladas we ordered.
Long story short, being from Texas, when we see Hispanics with a "Mexican" restaurant, our expectations are very high. Authentic? Not even close. I'm sorry to say, but this is "Mexican" food for people who don't know any better, and that's sad because we saw the ratings and had...
Read moreI'm not really sure where all the great reviews are coming from. Maybe we just hit them on an extremely bad day. It took forever for the waiter to take our order after we were seated & got our drinks. We ordered the chicken burrito with rice & chicken fajitas (Which comes with rice & refried beans). The burrito & rice were cold. The chicken in the fajitas was dry. I got fries instead of rice with the fajitas & they were served on top of the refried beans & weren't cooked properly. They were completely soggy. I sent them back & asked for them on a separate plate from the beans. They came back cooked the same way & they put the sour cream on a scalding hot plate with the refried beans so it was half melted. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the waiter was so apologetic & nice about it when we told him. He took the burrito & a beer off the bill. He asked if it was our first time there. It was & our last because we were traveling through the area but we wouldn't go back even if we...
Read moreIt is one of my husband and I things to stop at a Mexican restaurant anytime we travel. We were on our way home and we ended up passing through Bismarck. We decided on this one due to the reviews.
For the most parts everyone did enjoy their food and seem very pleased with it. The only thing that we weren't happy with was it seemed overpriced. We have ate at a lot of Mexican restaurants so we can compare prices and this one seemed a little high to us. The service was great and our food came out very fast. The food was warm but not hot. My husband and nephew ordered the fajitas but we are used to them coming out sizzling hot as if they're still cooking. The ones that they got were not like that at all.
Overall we did enjoy the restaurant and we would go back because of food was...
