UPDATE NOV. 2024: I would not even recommend my worst enemy to live here and have to deal with this absolute dumper fire of a building and staff. In the past year and a half or so, this place has downward spiraled into an absolute garbage hell hole that I unfortunately have to call my home for now. These were originally marketed as 'luxury apartments' when I first moved in almost 3 years ago. If you look now, nowhere anywhere does it say that these are 'luxury' apartments anymore. There is a reason for that. This place was so quickly and cheaply built, that in just 7 years it looks more run down than a building twice it's age. And it's not from people trashing the place or lack of maintenance-It's literally just in the foundation from the getgo. The walls in the building are all bowed. There's not a straight wall anywhere in this building, which I'm sure could be assumed safely that causes a plethora of problems. Quick-not so quick-list of what I've noticed alone in just under 3 years: The springs in the windows shooting out with God knows how many pounds of force behind them (bowed walls issue there!), good luck getting a nail to stick anywhere in the wall even on a stud, not a single fan in the two apartments I've lived in here, is the appropriate size and/or power for the bathrooms they're in, making sure it's a breeding ground for mold and bacteria, semi-glass paint used on all the walls in the apartment so now those nails you can't get in the wall to stay have pulled out all the paint around it, there's about 50 holes just above my cupboards and that's only one section of cupboards above my fridge, gaps everywhere in the silicone where the counter meets the cupbaords, building has already needed a new roof after only 7 years since it was built, you pay $60 a month for 'remote controlled/restricted access parking under the building with cameras, that when you complain about being parked next to three used garbage cans(the big commerical ones)-directly in the spot next to you, in the middle of summer, directly next to the entrance of said garage, you're made out to be the bad guy for not wanting to pay $60 a month to park next to hot stench, disgusting trash, and also the wheels on your car get stolen too, some foam spray that gets sprayed underneath the laminate flooring in the kitchen and living room disintegrates so you have sunken spots spanning 8 ft lengths all over and are told 'we'd have to rip the floor up in order to fix it and we don't want to do that unless we absolutely have to...', get your ballast kitchen light replaced only to wait two months for an LED replacement (supposed to be an energy efficient building in the first place, why the hell was there not an LED ballast there initially?!) and then the incorrect mounting screws get used and they drill through the bottom of your cupboard and almost into the bottom of your toaster... I could seriously go on and not run out of negative things to say about this place. The staff here used to be extraordinarily helpful, and always did whatever they possibly could to make your experience here better, but now that it's owned by another company and now that I've spent long enough here to slowly see it falling apart around me as a 7 to 8-year-old building mind you, I'm honestly shocked that this building is still deemed livable and that somehow the staff here still have jobs. Your requests go ignored, you are talked down to as if you paying an absorbentant amount in rent every month isn't what pays the staff's paychecks, let alone the amount you pay cover just being able to have functional windows in your apartment... It's honestly a joke. I understand the times can be hard especially in transition from one company's hands to another, but that doesn't give anybody the right to treat people the way I have been treated as well as just flat out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI lived at Berkshire Central (Viridian Central) from July 2020- June 2024. My first year living there, my car back window was smashed, in which I was paying for underground parking. There is no additional security to the parking garage once you are in the apartment building. Anyone who enters the building has full range and access. I notified management at the time, in which they said " The cameras were turned, we couldn't see anything". I was parked very close to a garage door in which the cameras directly surround. Maintenace and management were more concerned with making sure the glass was quickly cleaned up. Fast forward to right around Halloween, I had decorations on my door. I came home from a weekend trip to find the decorations broken in half and chucked down the hallway. That same exact night I had to call the police due to a man I've never seen before try to enter my specific unit. (I had been in this unit for months at this point). Once again, notified management and everything was brushed under the rug, there was nothing they could do. Things seem to get better after the first year of living there, they really did. Biggest thing to look out for when living here, if you decide to transfer units be VERY careful about doing so. I transferred a few times while living here. The first 3 times I transferred ( Going into larger apartments) I had to pay a $250.00 transfer fee. No problem, no issues. The minute I needed to downsize because I was in the processes of purchasing a home, they just so happen to " increase" the transfer fee to $700.00 in which I had to pay. No where in the lease agreement did it state that or had any of our leases been amended to correct and reflect that change. During the end of my time at Berkshire central (Viridian Central) I had to call the police due to a man trying to enter the building through a side door in which someone was trying to keep him out of. He was kicking and screaming at 2AM trying to get into the building. Police were constantly called. The building was always dirty, and the trash and recycling chutes were always backed up, mind you I was on 3rd floor, so 1st floor, 2nd floor were also backed up, it would be like that for sometimes an entire week. The one good thing I can say in regard to this place was the Maintenace before they sold Berkshire Central to Viridian Central. Jim was fantastic to work with, He always answered maintenance issues within a few hours of you putting in a request and he was always super friendly and knew everyone and their pets names. If you are looking for an apartment, take your money elsewhere. The amount of money you pay for this place is not worth it. Far from the " luxury" apartments they advertise. Also if you move out, DO NOT expect to receive your deposit back in full. I asked management numerous times before I moved out if there was anything additional I needed to pay, in which they replied " No, you are paid in full, there is nothing left to do but hand in your keys". To my surprise, they took $147.00 from my security deposit for utilities. When I went to go and check my portal for my statements because I knew I paid in full before I moved out and I had asked, I no longer had access to the portal. Overall, it's $147, not worth it. It just seemed like a lot of shady things were going on. If you read through the reviews you will find most of them are very similar...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMan, Iāve worked some rough shifts, but living here? This place is straight-up worse than a Friday night rush when the ice cream machineās broken. First, they had a solid nameāstrong, memorable. Then some out-of-touch corporate clown decided to change it to something that sounds like an actual disease. The mysterious 'intimacy itch' you never saw coming. Who signed off on that? Probably the same genius who let their nieceās "professional" interior design company run wild in here.
At first, they tried. Iāll give them that. The dark blue accents around the doors? Clean. Classy. But then? They went full-on circus prison, slapping on floor-to-ceiling trim that looks like it belongs in a haunted Chuck E. Cheese. And just when I thought it couldnāt get worse, they rolled out this carpet that looks like itās already survived a McDonald's bathroom incident. Vomit skid marks and all.
To top it off, they didnāt even commit. Every fifteen feet, thereās a little sad patch of original flooring, like a tiny reminder of what couldāve been. Either replace it all or donāt, but this half-baked mess? Straight-up tragic. The carpet sucks. Get rid of it.
Edit 1* Not sure if this will get posted but..
It seems the circus has compounded on their previous investments. Theyāve expanded on the tacky decor with poor taste artwork, and still the vomit lined carpet. Now theyāve also begun cleaning the outside of the building, which is an excellent investment if it didnāt last an entire month and take up a quarter of the parking lot, forcing many of the residents to park in the satellite location. On the flipside, management at least acquiesced to a single request from residents and added a couple more feces depositories on the property.
Despite this one benefit for residents, they have further increased rent and are clearly more interested in trash in the parking lot, than clearly abandoned vehicles. There is a certain white Camry that has been parked in the lot since before Thanksgiving, but there has been no mention of this vehicle. It is obviously abandoned. No one cares to have it towed, fixed, or the...
