Upon entering the store I was given a warm and uplifting greeting from Mary W. I came in specifically looking for legos and was promptly able to find the section of the store I needed without assistance like a store should be. I found it very unique and streamlined that they have an escalator in store, which as far as I’m aware is not common in kohls locations. I think thats Very cool. Upon leaving I heard another employee ask about her evening as she was finished with her day, yet she insisted on helping me out before she left. She was very polite and even though she was close to being off for the day, she asked about my work as I had a company Jacket on. I just was transfered into the area and that was very refreshing to hear. As a General Manager myself I recognize good customer service in employees and she was ultimately the reason I signed up for my kohls account. I will from now on be purchasing all my legos from kohls because of her and I will be doing my shopping at the bloomingdale location. My girlfriend and I love building legos together and I can’t wait to buy more once we’ve finished these sets. I’ve also purchased Ray Bans from here a few years back when I was in the area and will also be getting my next pair here. I recommend giving Mary W. a raise or at the very least recognition for her work and excellent customer service skills. But definitely a raise too. And Mary if you end up seeing this I hope your cookies turned out great. They...
Read moreAfter shopping for Anniversary gifts for my for my Wife on the second floor, I went to the check out I remembered was on the second floor near the exit doors to the parking lot. I remembered that this store had a 1st and a 2nd floor cashiers to check out. To my unhappy surprise, I found out that I would have to go to the lower level to check out. At a time when brick & mortar stores are struggling to attract customers, why would Kohls want to make a customers visit a unhappy one? I have a bad knee and it pains me at times to walk but when I see some of the disabilities other people have, I consider myself blessed. So I had to walk to the rear of the store to take the elevator down (I had a shopping cart) & then walk to the other end of the store to the cashiers. I then had to walk back to he escalators to get back to the second floor where the exit doors are to the parking lot where I had parked. All this walking is unnecessary. Whom ever thought of only having one floor to check out should not ever be allowed to make any more store decisions ever again. THIS IS TERRIBLE! Christmas is just around the corner and I don't think I will be doing my shopping at Kohls ever again. The coupons & discounts are nice but that doesn't make up for the inconvenience you have caused when a customer wants to check out. Kohls was my favorite store to shop at. NOT ANY MORE! Here's a bit of advise for upper management. If something works,...
Read moreDishonest staff. I left a branded jacket in the mall. Called lost and found and the staff who answered the phone looked for it and found it. I drove more than 30 minutes to get it after a few days (could not go immediately because of snowstorms). Not only did they NOT have my jacket, a manager named Emanoela had a really stinky attitude, trying to shoo me away as if I was a trouble, offered zero help, and even threatened to call their security and get me out of the store. Later the night a man named Nick, stating himself as the security manager, called me and apologized for the situation, assuring me that they checked the security camera and confirmed that the staff who answered the phone did have found my jacket, but they don’t know why it’s not there any more, and that they would investigate further can get back to me asap. However, until this day, more than a week later, I heard nothing back from them. Very poorly managed customer service with disappointing attitudes. Avoid...
