Pita Pita Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Bloomingdale

Meant to write this review a lot sooner but I went here with my parents for their wedding anniversary a few months ago. I've gotten food from the Pita Pita in Lombard a few times over the years and it's always been great (I wrote a review on that too years ago).

We only recently learned that there was a Pita Pita open in Bloomingdale and we were excited to try it out since it's closer to us than Lombard. This was my parents' first time trying Pita Pita too. From the outside, the Bloomingdale Pita Pita looked really nice but once we walked in, our excitement quickly faded.

This Pita Pita is more of an "express" location than a restaurant, it's really only meant for carryout orders as there's extremely limited seating (only two tables from what I recall). Compared to the Pita Pita in Lombard, it was an unfortunate sight.

The employee working the register brought us our food and checked on us at our table a few times. Considering that he was handling all the customer calls and walk-ins on his own, he was very nice and gave good service.

On to the food, which is where things get really ugly. My dad and I both got the mixed meat entree while my mom got the falafel sandwich. The pita bread slices were stale and clearly microwaved, as they crumbled so easily, causing the tahini and hot sauces to escape from the bottom and drip everywhere. The sauces were runny and the hot sauce had a funky taste to it. The meats were good: fresh and flavorful, as they should be. My mom's falafel sandwich arrived with all the falafels mashed up for some reason and they were very soggy from the outside. My dad's salad had a bunch of spoiled pieces in it.

For a bill of over $40, it was insanely overpriced considering how bad the quality of the food was. I was so embarrassed and upset that I'd brought my parents here for their wedding anniversary, I wish I'd just taken them to the Lombard location instead. I don't think I'll ever...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pita Pita Mediterranean Grill, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire meal.

Jamiel, our host, was absolutely fantastic. His welcoming demeanor and infectious energy made us feel right at home. Not only did he provide excellent service, but he also went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience.

As for the food, it was simply outstanding. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made with the freshest ingredients. From the juicy shawarma to the perfectly grilled vegetables, every bite was a delight for the taste buds.

The ambiance of the restaurant was also top-notch, with a cozy atmosphere that added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. This location is extremely nice and whoever did the build out did a remarkable job.

Overall, I cannot recommend Pita Pita Mediterranean Grill enough. Whether you're craving authentic Mediterranean cuisine or simply looking for a welcoming and energetic dining experience, this is the place to be. Huge thanks to Jamiel and the entire team for a five-star dining experience. We'll...

The food was exactly what I expected in comparison to other Plta Pitas that I have been in at other locations. The young man working the counter on Saturday March 30 around 6pm was outstanding!! The place was very busy with people picking up online orders and coming in to order. Two of the 3 Two seater tables had customers eating at them. The young man at the front counter was pleasant, calm and polite and helpful to each and every person. We came in thinking there would be a dining area like other locations and were really disappointed by the limited seating....that is our only complaint...my point being that why we waited we got to see the young man...I wish I knew his name ...greet and help each person. Never getting frazzled or short with anyone. In between he kept going in the back to help and check on orders. He also took a few minutes to clean up a small mess on the floor by the tables.
