Taco Bell — Restaurant in Bloomingdale

Absolutely disgusting experience. The man making our food was wearing gloves but kept touching the register, order screens, and money, then handled our cups and food without ever changing gloves or washing his hands. He even shorted our order and argued before finally making the missing item. When I told him he needed to change gloves before touching food, he snatched the burrito, went to the back, changed gloves, and remade only that one—leaving the rest of our food contaminated. The other employees ignored me and no manager stepped in. We were so grossed out we couldn’t eat. This is a serious food safety issue that could make people sick. If this is how they behave in full view of customers, I can’t imagine what happens where we can’t see. Taco Bell really needs to train and supervise their staff—Serve Safe certification means nothing if employees don’t follow basic...

So I've stopped eating at all taco bells, regularly, but happened by this one again. They improved on the molded, murky soda tubing lines of the drink machine in the lobby, but the ice tea still tastes moldy, the batch from behind the counter supply too! I tossed it and had to get soda, instead. This is a problem with all TBs. Next, I usually change out a tortilla on the burrito with my own low carb version(I don't mind, really) but shocked to find that we are really paying a lot for cheap carbs to fill up on at TB. The 5 layer beefy burrito has 2 tortillas, a 6" and a 10", the 6" is held in place w the liquid cheese. They don't say it's " stacked" like that in ads. There's under 2 tablespoons of actual filling(not shown, I scraped it onto my low carb tortilla)! I had to get more food elsewhere, later...

Mad props to whoever is working 12:37 AM June 15th (Tuesday night/Wednesday morning). I see 2 cars, so maybe just the cashier and the cook. They’re flying orders out! 3 cars in front of me and it was extremely fast and my order + the car behind were already bagged and ready. I swear that almost never happens at fast food, especially at random late hours! Friendly cashier + I’d be extremely proud if I owned this restaurant, as the portions are probably spot on for what’s recommended (seemed a little light, but also zero complaints because the majority of the time other employees are probably putting too much in).
