Hair International Day Spa — Local services in Bloomington

This is my second time coming to this spa, first experience was great, got a wax and it went by smoothly. This time I came in for a shellac manicure, first impressions of my ginger man friend was that he was nice but I honestly wished he would've turned me away. I previously had gel dip powder on my nails, when ginger man tried to take them off; it was extremely had..like more than hard...like 3 hours of hard. My guy feeling told me to maybe say never mind, but ginger man was determined to get the gel off. He did btw get it off and I appreciate him very much but knowing when to turn someone away is important; I most definitely wouldn't not been upset but I also would've gotten a manicure I could be proud of. In hindsight, I wished I would've tipped him more but I was also very frustrated by how he didn't wear gloves, kept touching his phone to look up answers of how to do my nails, and just extremely disorganized. I understand that when people take off work, people fill in but today was just a long frustrating day; when in fact it's supposed to be a relaxing day. Hair International was my place for all the preparation (spray tan, waxing, nails) and day of (mine and my bridemaids' hair and makeup) for my wedding. I loved that I could get everything done at one place instead of going to a separate salon/spa/nail studio/tanning place/etc. They also had packages for all the services I wanted. Everyone there was so helpful and nice. We had the place pretty much to ourselves on the day of, and they even brought in champagne, orange juice, and muffins for us. Shout out to Jenni (waxing), Sheila (nails), Kelly and Pam (bridesmaid hair) for a great job! Hair International Day Spa provided such a phenomenal experience for my wedding party and I. All the stylists were wonderful to work with and be around. I left my bridal trial with Elaina feeling so confident that she knew exactly what I wanted for the wedding. Priscilla went above and beyond reaching out to the health department, creating the perfect schedule, etc. to accommodate all of us while still following all state and county COVID-19 restrictions.
