This has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Btown. I've gone once a week for the last 4 or 5 weeks, because I can't get enough.
First Photo: Beef Ramen. This was the most recent ramen I tried and I have to say the beef was excellent. It's extremely tender, lots of flavor, and they gave me a lot of it.
Second Photo: Pork Belly Ramen. I'd never tried pork belly before this, and it was so so good. Texture wise, it's chewy and fatty, but it contains great flavor, and for me works better with the broth flavor than the beef does.
Third Photo: Noodles with Pork in Soy Bean Sauce. This one comes without broth, instead you get a delicious salty and savory sauce and some slices cucumbers. This is less filling than the broth ramen, and feels much more of a summery kind of meal, but out of the three ramen I've tried so far, this one comes second to the beef.
The service has been very fast every time I've gone, and very friendly. It's generally not been super busy so I'm able to get my pick of seats, whether I'm alone or with a group.
They give you chili oil, soy sauce, and a vinegar sauce to add to the broth if you like. I haven't tried the chili oil myself, but my boyfriend loves it and adds it to his ramen every time. It is very spicy though, so only do a little at a time until you get your desired spice level. My person favorite sauce is the vinegar, it just adds volume to the broth flavor.
They have lots of tea and smoothie options, I don't remember the exact ones I've tried, but I generally just go with a glass of water.
I adore this place, it's an easy 5/5...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. I walked in to place my order for carryout. They were a little busy, but not packed. It took at least 20 minutes to get 2 orders of ramen. Why does it take so long when that's really all you're making? It cost about $24 for the beef brisket and house special, and they are not big portions. They put the noodles in a Styrofoam box, not in with the soup, so they get cold before you get home. The pictures of the food is completely false advertising. They show large portions of vegetables and meat, and you barely get any meat and there was no bok choy at all, and only a single bite of carrot. The house special is the opposite of special. You get 2 or 3 tiny shrimp, and a couple bites of dry chicken and tough beef. I was taking this to the hospital to eat with my sick husband, and they didn't have any utensils other than chopsticks, which they informed me after I paid would cost extra! So we had to get a nurse to get us plasticware to eat it, and have her heat it up! The ramen bowls from the store are honestly more satisfying, and you can get 20x more for the price! Also, there's really nowhere to park, and if you're not dining in, they have signs telling you that you can't sit down for to go orders! The seating they do have doesn't look very comfortable either. I will look elsewhere next time I want to try ramen, and...
Read moreI didn’t even go to the restaurant. My friends and I were standing outside waiting for a table at Da Vinci. The owner came out and physically pushed me and others away. Don’t worry, we didn’t block any of their business as no one was going in anyway. I have never had an experience like this with any other restaurant and would not recommend it if this is how they decide service works. To add, the reason I was leaning on the door was because I had just gotten off a ten hour shift at work (standing the entire time) and felt very faint and needed something to grab onto. One of the things I’ve found even more disturbing about your service is the fact that not only do you feel it is ok to justify assaulting someone while they are just standing, but you feel comfortable sending employees into other places in response to bad reviews. The fact you let your employee track my friends and I down while we were enjoying a birthday dinner (in the back or the room) and then let him stare at us for several minutes is disturbing. My friends and I would have moved if anyone had in fact come in with the intention of eating at your store, as we had for other people at Da Vinci. Again, your lack of respect is beyond...
