My husband and I have been loyal customers to Rogers and Holland for the past several years. My engagement ring was purchased from Roger's and Holland as well as my husband's wedding band. After I initially got my engagement ring weeks later I lost it after setting it down at my mother's house and thought all hope was lost and went and purchased another one from Roger's and Holland. During that ordeal, the staff was amazing in helping me change the warranty from my previous engagement ring to my new identical ring. Ms. Sue and Jake were very empathic and helped me during this stressful time always handling my emotions with a delicate empathic approach. A year later the first engagement ring was found in my husband's change jar (he must have picked it up and put it in his pocket after finding it on a counter in his excuse we were both drinking and celebrating a holiday). After finding the initial ring my husband and I went to Rogers and Hollands inquiring what we could do in the future since there was no need for two rings, and they informed us we could use the extra ring for a "double up" trade-in, and found this useful since we've been waiting for me to finish nursing school to purchase my wedding band.
Yesterday my husband and I went into Rogers and Holland inquiring about this "doubling up" trade and Ms. Florije the store manager helped us through this process. Since I already picked out the band I wanted previously and had the skew number to compare Ms. Florije was able to do the calculations and determine that we were able to purchase an entirely new ring with a 1.5 carat diamond in it as well as the wedding band for a great price with using the previous engagement ring as a trade-in. Ms. Florije also had the idea of using the second engagement ring in the future to make a necklace to wear since I am unable to wear such a large diamond when working at the hospital. Throughout the entire process, Ms. Florije was super helpful and attentive to our every need. She was very knowledgeable about the different cuts and types of diamonds Rogers and Holland offered. After finding out our initial amount of credit towards the new purchase was not enough to cover the entire purchase, Ms. Florije personally called the credit lender and got them to increase the amount so it would cover the entire purchase without us needing to put any money down. I am amazed at Ms. Florije dedication to the customers and the excellent customer service she provides, even providing me her personal cell phone number so I can contact her directly in the future for any questions or needs we might have. I am VERY satisfied with Ms. Florije's customer service and the purchase, and I cannot wait until the final product is ready for me to pick up!
Overall, every experience at Roger's and Hollands has secured my and my husband's business and jewelry needs for the rest of our lives! In the future, we will be inquiring about a possible "double up" trade-in for the second engagement ring or using the stone to make a necklace. Amazingly, all Roger's and Hollands honor the process of "doubling up" trade-in, where you use your previous jewelry purchased at Rogers and Holland for at purchase price to go towards a new purchase, the only requirement is the new purchase double the price of the original purchased jewelry. Also, since my husband is considered a "first responder" as he is a fire alarm technician and I being a future nurse, Roger's and Hollands honor a first responders 10% discount on the entire purchase. I am so excited to have my new ring and that they were able to make a stressful situation turn into a blessing in disguise. Thank you again Ms. Florije, Sue, Jake, and all of the wonderful staff at Rogers and Holland at the Eastland Mall in...
Read moreI brought my wedding ring and band (purchased through them)to get soldered which you’d think would be a simple task. They sent it off to a local vendor for this without advising me beforehand. When I picked up my ring the center diamond was destroyed. After a fight with them claiming it was like this when I dropped it off they finally admitted the jeweler they used didn’t protect the ring properly. An employee told me that this jeweler has been destroying peoples jewelry for a while and the company always says “it must have been like that before we took it in”. After about 8 months of back and forth with them they told me they’d bring in loose diamonds for me to pick one and that I would be able to purchase my damaged diamond to have put into a necklace. A month later I went to pick from the “loose” diamonds all to be told they actually replaced my diamond instead. This was without my consent and the opposite of what they told me they would be doing. They then advised my original diamond was lost and there was no way to get it back. The diamond they replaced it with was visibly smaller and a very low quality diamond. After another fight with them they agreed to actually bring in loose diamonds this time. More time goes by and I went there and picked a diamond. After they put the new diamond in my ring I told them it didn’t look like the diamond I picked, visibly smaller and lower quality. They handed me the certificate and the store manager then said “sometimes you have to just accept things the way they are” and shrugged her shoulders. I immediately went to other jewels… 2 advised the diamond in my ring did not match the certificate I was given. So back to this store I went, they looked under their falling apart scope and said they couldn’t find the laser inscribed number and they’d have to send it off. More time goes by and they admit they gave me a diamond that not only I didn’t pick but it must have been “a mistake” to give me the certificate for the diamond without actually giving me the diamond. Turned out it was the low quality diamond they replaced my diamond with. They actually did nothing to the ring and just gave me the cert card. What a convenient mistake for them. So of course it has to be sent back yet again and comes back with the correct diamond but the prongs were destroyed. Yet again it had to be sent back all for it to come back the same exact way and at this point I had to just give up before another diamond mysteriously vanished. Almost the first year of my marriage was spent without my ring, they lost my original diamond and tried to give me a diamond with false certification.. I think it’s clear I’ll never be doing business with this...
