Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Bloomington

May 8, 2021 My family and I went in to this establishment for a Mother's Day dinner. Olive Garden is my favorite restaurant. But this day changed all that. We were seated and waited 20 minutes before anyone e came and asked if we wanted water. Servers walked by several times and no one stopped to asked if we had been served. Finally a women who seemed like she may have been a manager approached us asking if we'd been served. Politely we answered no. She offer us a complimentary appetizer and drinks. That came and our waiter finally introduced himself. He was moving so fast like he really didn't have time to serve us. We still never received water, napkins, or even checked on periodically like most waiters do that serves you. When got our appetizer, we waited another 30 minutes before our main course came. During that period our waiter never came back to follow up on us. Other people who came in AFTER us was seated, waited on and left. By this time I flagged down a manager and ask to have the check for the service we did receive. She talked us into staying, apologizing for the poor service. At that moment finally the food came, mind you we still had not seen the server again who claimed he was our waiter. Finally we got our food. The manager seem to have picked up on how we really felt. She handled the bill. As they should have. After we never had ANYONE TO FOLLOW UP WITH OUR TABLE LIKE A WAITER SHOULD. NOT EVEN THAT MANAGER. NOT ONE SOUL. We never made a scene or anything but the disappointment on our face said it all. When the food came, we all had lost our appetites. Kindly asked for containers from the waiter who claimed he was to be assigned to us, HE NEVER CAME BACK. Another lady who happened to see us just sitting there waiting on him helped us to leave. And we quietly left. If I go back into that particular establishment again it'll be a trick to it .THIS WAS THE WORST SERVICE WE'D RECEIVED IN OUR LIFE. I could've gotten better service through a drive thru. The one star is for even letting...

2025: I went in today for lunch with my bf and I felt like our server ignored us for the most part. I got soup, salad and bread sticks, they brought us 1 breadstick each, so we asked for more as well as a second round of soup. Instead of the soup and bread, we received another salad, which is fine but we'd already devoured the first one. We weren't really planning on eating a second bowl of the salad, we asked for a second bowl of soup, and 6 breadsticks again so we could each have 3. About 20 minutes later they just brought my bf soup, and forgot mine, as well as the drinks and breadsticks. I asked again for my soup, bread and both our drinks. It took another 20 minutes. The server was very attentive to the tables around us but seemed to keep forgetting us and our food. I feel like this happens a lot when we go to this location unfortunately. I also had asked for a soup, salad and breadsticks to go and the server only brought me soup and 2 breadsricks, no salad. At this point I was just annoyed and wanted to go home. For almost $50 it just felt like a not so great time. Everyone has their off days though, so no judgment I just hope next time we have someone who actually serves us.

Olive Garden is located at 1701 E Empire St Bloomington, IL. It is near Texas Roadhouse and Barnes and Noble. At Olive Garden they have AMAZING Italian food. The sauce is amazing. You can get a variety of soses, hot, sour and sweet. It has great tables and booths. They have cushions on the booths. The colors are black and green. It is a little fancy. It has a bar.The atmosphere is quiet. There is no music. Everyone is whispering. Olive Garden is very clean. It doesn't have much dirt. When you get to your table there it nerve has leftover food on it or dishes. For my appetizer I had salad and breadsticks. The waitress Riley was good about bringing me new food when l ran out of them. The food was really yummy. I had spaghetti and soup. The soup has fresh vegetables. It is so good. And the spaghetti has just enough cheese. For dessert I had moose cake. It is a chocolate cake that has chocolate syrup. It also has chocolate chips on the back. Overall I think you should go to Olive Garden. You should go there because they have amazing food and the dessert is mouth watering. I definitely give them a 5 star reading. and you should go there.
