Owl's Nest — Local services in Blue Ridge

If you like semi precious stones/jewelry this place is heaven! I am from the Midwest and visit family in the Blue Ridge area. I found this place over the summer and made a point to stop by during our Christmas visit. I purchased two rings, zinc obsidian and a ruby in zoisite and a pair of unique sterling silver earrings that were the Flower of Life rolled into a cylinder. I vacillated on purchasing a large pendant made of Bostwana Agate and decided against it only because, really who needs all this jewelry right? Well, the next day I called to purchase it, spoke with the owner who so kindly sent me a picture to make sure it was the correct one and there was no charge for the shipping. I received my pendant less than a week later after I came home. 5 stars for customer service! And let me just say I have shopped this type of jewelry for years, and the prices are competitive. I made a purchase in this lovely store and then went outside and left my wallet and my purchase on a bench. A Good Samaritan picked it up and returned both to the Owl’s Nest, seeing the logo on the bag my purchase was in. The owner of the shop tried to reach me to no avail by calling some credit cards found in my wallet. He also reached out to Triple A since he found that card, as well. In the meantime, I had called the police dept., chamber and city hall to no avail. I then thought to call the shop and was told they had my wallet and purchase! I drove back to Blue Ridge (a 90 minute drive) and retrieved my belongings. When I returned home, there were two missed calls on my husband’s phone from Triple A! Cudos to The Owl’s Nest...
