Read moreDuring my recent visit to Das Kaffee Haus, I had a mixed experience that left me with conflicting impressions. While the coffee itself was decent and met my expectations, the customer service, particularly from the young lady at the front register, was disappointing.
Let's start with the positive aspects. The coffee at Das Kaffee Haus had a decent flavor and met my expectations in terms of taste. The brew was enjoyable and provided a satisfactory caffeine kick. The quality of the coffee beans was evident, and I appreciated the effort put into the beverage's preparation.
However, my overall experience was negatively affected by the attitude of the young lady working at the front register. From the moment I approached the counter, it was apparent that she had a nasty attitude and lacked any enthusiasm for her work. Her lack of a smile or any display of genuine interest in serving customers was disheartening. As someone who values friendly and welcoming service, this aspect of my visit was disappointing.
To make matters worse, I encountered an issue when I requested an extra cup to share my coffee drink. Instead of accommodating my request as a gesture of goodwill, the young lady charged me for an additional coffee drink. This seemed unnecessary and left me feeling somewhat taken advantage of as a customer. It would have been more appropriate to provide the extra cup without an additional charge, considering it was for the same drink.
To sum it all up, Das Kaffee Haus offers a decent cup of coffee, but the overall experience was marred by the unpleasant attitude displayed by the young lady at the front register. Her lack of friendliness and unwillingness to accommodate a simple request left me feeling disappointed. While the coffee itself was satisfactory, the subpar customer service detracted from my overall enjoyment.
I hope that Das Kaffee Haus addresses these issues in their customer service, as a warm and welcoming atmosphere is just as important as the quality of the coffee itself. With improved customer service, Das Kaffee Haus has the potential to create a more positive and satisfying experience for...
Read moreWe tend to grab a coffee here when we visit Downtown Blue Ridge. We love the decor of this little place, it’s hip and trendy. They offer a wide selection of options and today we splurged and even got some dessert.
The coffee is ok, and the prices are about normal for touristy location like it’s in. The staff typically seems relatively ambivalent to concept wowing their guests, which oddly stands out to most people we meet in Blue Ridge, but isn’t totally uncommon to some of the establishments on East Main Street.
The flow of the ordering and pickup process seems backwards and as they get busy the line that forms creates a bit of a traffic jam, requiring the staff to continue to tell people that the line forms at the other end of the counter, the end that people really can’t get to due to the shops configuration. However, the narrow footprint probably limited the options. 🤷🏼♂️
For $7 we expected a more generous slice of coconut cake, but frankly we didn’t need any more. The diet thanks the somewhat stingy slicer dude.
Also, the bathrooms were allegedly out of order. We didn’t need them, but the checkout stated to ask for the code before they printed your receipt or they wouldn’t give you the code after, so we asked to be safe.
Low supply and high demand kept a steady flow of patrons rolling through as we sat for a couple of minutes. Nothing terribly wrong with the place, it just earns a strong 3 stars from us because no one seemed to make the effort to dazzle us for the extra two stars that were hanging out there...
