My husband took a two toned gold bracelet to be fixed (needed weld between a link) . I got it back today . oMG!!!! It is no longer “brushed gold and shiny gold alternating links with different gold finishes“ as it was when dropped off. It is all now shiny gold ! The links that were brushed gold have been polished in a machine until there is none of the links “brushed”. It is ruined .this was a gift and I have worn it almost everyday for 15 years . I am sick . It is no longer the same beautiful bracelet . I am trying not to feel the rage at this carelessness by a jeweler , but I am not succeeding . I would not take a piece of dime store junk jewelry to this place!! Update : I was called immediately after they read my review . They were very upset with what I wrote. They said they did not remember what my bracelet looked like when it was dropped off. I told them it was half brushed and half shiny , which is why it was one of my favorite bracelets. They said they could restore it back to the way it looked. My husband took it right back to them to be fixed. They finished it very quickly. When I got it , again I was disappointed with what they did to it. First it looks now like someone took a dremel tool to half of it. It is nothing like it looked when I gave it to them. I am sick about losing a sentimental piece of jewelery that I loved. My husband was sick at heart when he knew it was never going to look the same again. If this jeweler wants to make this even half way right for me? He can buy this piece for the sale price I paid for it. The bracelet was bought on sale for 399. And I can not replace it for that today. I do not wear it now because I am so sad when I look at it . We were charged 50. for this job. They can pay the 399. Plus the 50 and they are welcome to have this. I will never wear it again. If the store does anything beyond what they did already I will be happy to post What happened can’t be undone now, but they can try and...
Read moreWent into the shop to have a new battery put in my watch. I was told the guy who had to do it was busy and it would be about a 45 min wait, which I understand. Then she said once they start my watch it would take about another half an hour. I really have no clue about watches or how long it takes. So I left and went to Ligato’s jewelry shop on Baylor dr. I walked in and the lady was also busy working on something and stopped what she was doing and put the battery in my watch, set it to the correct date and time in literally under 1 minute! Not sure why the women at this shop told me it would take a half an hour once he started my watch. My watch is not very expensive and I’m thinking they just didn’t want to deal with it. I def recommend Ligatos jewelry shop and def won’t be goin back to island...
Read moreI found an old gold necklace among my things and wondered about it's value. Just popped into the store this morning and both Misty and Michael were so friendly and quick to help out. I found out what the gold is worth (more than I thought) and decided to instead gift the necklace to a friend. Michael did a quick and thorough cleaning and made the little necklace look brand new and placed it in a nice gift box. It's perfect! And all for the smallest cost. I happened to notice the negative review below, and trust me, Michael and Misty are experts and very congenial and customer oriented. This is an excellent business, and I will surely...
