I moved to Bluffton 1 year ago from Southern California. My life had been filled with many amazing times in the Chinatown district of Los Angeles. We would go to Hop Louies .. a location used for many movie sets on a regular basis. It was a family tradition. Jasmine tea, egg foo young, and pork fried rice. I have been looking for a Chinese restaurant since we moved here that served a good egg foo young. There were some ok experiences, but tonight - oh tonight! Panda was clean and had soft, sweet music playing.. the smells were amazing, and the service was professional and courteous. I have driven past it many times. Tonight, we stopped in. A variety of Egg Foo Young on the menu! I ordered Chicken Egg Foo Young! Husband ordered Orange Beef. We ordered pork fried rice, and white rice came with the entrees. My order was perfect. Crispy around the edges, freshly made with chicken and vegetables in a wonderful large patty. 3 large patties with brown gravy to the order. The Orange Beef was great, according to Husband. Pork fried rice was incredible, but I've found my Egg Foo Young! I'll sample other types and other items , but honestly? This is it for me. I miss a lot from California, but the beauty and family we have here far outweigh my "other home." I have kids here and will take them to Panda to create memories for them here and tell them stories of wild nights in Hollywood and late suppers at Hop Louies. I'll also tell them that Panda's Egg Foo Young shines bright. I'm so glad we stopped in. Thank you, Panda!

One word I would use to describe my food was clean tasting ... like, it was all super fresh and healthy food where you tasted flavors and the natural textures were there. They didn’t try to over fry / oil / fatten the food to make it better, so it felt like the real food rather than what food critics call an Americanized version. The spring rolls were the perfect crunchiness and suppleness and did not fall apart, and were perfectly sized and rolled. The vegetable and bean curd soup has a flavorful, pleasant broth, the bean curd (tofu) and vegetables are perfectly cooked, and the soup warms and fills you but makes you feel brighter and fed rather than heavy and weighed down. Even the fried noodles they give you on the side were fresh, light and not over done. I will definitely be returning!

The reviews for this place are funny, but the owner’s responses are hilarious. 😂 We ordered General Tso’s Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Fried Rice & Vegetable Fried Rice. The General Tso’s had a fishy flavor. The portions are very generous! You’re getting your money’s worth, but in quantity, not quality. Edit: My husband woke up sick in the middle of the night after we ate here… He said it happened the previous two times he ordered from here too… We’ll be eating somewhere else next time!

Horrible. We ordered on-line for delivery and received a confirmation that the food would be delivered in 45 minutes. At the one hour mark, we called to check on it and the man who answered said he was on the way. We live 10 minutes from the restaurant. Thirty minutes later, we called again, and he said he was in our neighborhood. Ten minutes later, we called again and expressed our unhappiness at being lied to twice. He said he was on our street at that point. We told him to stay on the line with us until his driver arrived since there was no car visible for the length of our street. He then said if we ordered on-line they didn't get the order- that there was a problem with their on-line system and to never use it. We hung up and five minutes later, his driver arrived with our order that they "never received." The food was absolutely horrible though and tasted like it had been cooked much earlier today. The beef lo mein was not edible, the dumplings were steamed and then fried and cold. The hunan beef was no beef and all broccoli. The egg rolls were the worst I have ever had. We have ordered here before and the food was good, but this experience with this particularly dishonest employee has insured we will never order from them again. To make matters worse, when we called to complain, he wanted us to return the food to his restaurant at 10:00 p.m. to get a refund and then hung up on us 4 times. Too many good restaurants nearby that don't BS their customers and don't serve such poor food. If there was an option for no stars, I would have definitely...

Beware....if you do delivery be aware it could be a 2-2.5 hr wait (was told take out can be just as long from the del driver). We ordered our food at 7:45 and was told it would be an hour. Well, fast forward to 9:15 (1.5 hrs after placing order) I called to check and see if our food was still being delivered. Was told yes it was out for delivery now and should be there any minute. So we continued to wait...now it’s 9:45 (2 hrs after placing order) so I called again because I didn’t think it would take 30 mins to deliver my food. The man who I spoke with (mind you it was the same person everytime) was extremely rude and told me well I’ll just cancel your order is that what you want. I then replied with what I want is my food I ordered over 2 hours ago and you said would be here in an hour. Then you said over 30 mins ago that it was out for delivery. He then said give it 5 more mins and hung up. When the driver got here he was extremely nice and not his fault at all but he did say that it gets busy and he is the only driver at the time and they are overwhelmed with the amount of orders they receive. My thoughts are this...if you treat all your customers the way you did me this time you won’t have to worry about being over whelmed in the future.

Oh and when the food did arrive it was warm not hot but then what can I expect huh. We have eaten there a few times before...in store and delivery but I feel this was our last time. The food is okay nothing better than any other Chinese place...
