Escape Boardman Hotel — Local services in Boardman

I bought tickets for my boyfriends birthday yesterday July 24, 2022 for 7:30pm. When we got there the two nice ladies were trying to check my reservation when they noticed I was not scheduled for that. When we checked my email I noticed that I put in for the next week and I was freaking out because I paid for the tickets and my boyfriend lives in Philly so next Thursday would have not worked at all. The two ladies were BEYOND friendly and accommodating to us and had us put on the schedule. They explained everything thoroughly and was VERY informative about any questions. They answered our questions without any attitude and gave us their recommendation (Which was perfect. We LOVED it). They did not make us feel uncomfortable and just had a freaking BLAST. I would recommend this escape room to ALL and we will definitely be back to try more of the rooms. The Virtual Reality is BEYOND crazy and how freaking real it feels! We wanted to let the company owners know that whatever two women were scheduled to work on Sunday July 24, 2022. Please give them the praise that they deserve. I love good customer service and making us feel welcomed without any attitudes to the inconvenience that I placed upon them. A1 service. Fun...

Absolute disappointment.

While the props and environments were very artistic. The entire experience was ruined by vague clues and improper set up. Initially, during the Annabelle room, you are forced into a dark room and made to rub walls looking for multiple sets of switches. A blatant time waste. At the end of which the staff made it part of the experience to tell us how each player needs to open the door to the actual puzzle room. While some of the solutions didnt work and needed staff correction, the breaking point was in the end, when the staff entered the room and explained the solutions we missed, we asked about a key. The staff informed us it was for the door to enter the second section of the room. We were confused because when we entered, the door was already open. The staff was silent before exclaiming, "congratulations, you didn't have to solve it." Inside, I screamed "refund" for me and my four guests, but I left without comment because we paid for an experience and we did experience something......

What a cool place! There are 3 or 4 escape rooms at Southern Park Mall (no entrance from inside the mall) and another two off Glenwood. (Boardman, OH) the staff was awesome and the whole experience is really fun. I recommend trying it, very challenging and entertaining.
