I wanted to come up with the update on 2 dishonest realtors Barbara Gillis and Toni Zaks, since they threatened us to litigate if I don't remove my truthful review. I found Barbara Gillis online, because advertised a rental property in Century Village, and I could not find more properties there. We wanted to rent in Century Village, to see how we liked it, with intention buy a property there. When I called Barbara, she immediately stated that she was very religious, and when I trusted her. Only when I have been cheated, I understood that it was con's way to win the trust. Since there was no other rental for 3 winter months' vacation available, Barbara told me to rush with $1900 one-month deposit. Before sending $1900 I asked Barbara to inspect the property and provide a detailed report with the photos. The listing did not contain the photo of the bedroom. Barbara said she would inspect the property and she called me after and made me trust her again. Barbara said: "The apartment is very dirty; I will never let my client to live in such conditions. But I talked to the owner, and he said he would clean an apartment and paint it". Then Barbara said, she would check everything after the job is done, and she would send me photos, before I pay the balance $4500, one month prior my arrival. After that, I was only communicating with Toni Zaks. When time came to pay $4500, I asked the photos, verifying that apartment has been taken care of. When I received the photos, I was shocked to see that the bed was only suitable for one person. I saw only a handicapped bath, with no regular shower, not acceptable for living for 2 active adults. I asked Toni Zaks if there were any queen bed somewhere and a regular shower that I did not see on a photo? Toni said: "Barbara was there and took pictures...When I asked Barbara Gillis, she said : Toni was there..." I wanted to speak to the main Managing. Broker, and Barbara said that she was the one. So we contacted a listing Broker and the owner of the property, and nobody ever responded to us. We sent a lot of e-mails to Toni and Barbara, asking them the same questions. There was only one response: ' Send $4500 immediately or lose a property and $1900 deposit. We clearly explain them, that we needed to but buy tickets to Florida, ship a car, with $1000 shipping cost. And that for G-d's sake we need comfortable living for 3 months' vacation: at least queen bed to sleep and a normal shower to take. So, since I did not get any positive response, I did not go to Florida for 3 months as was planned, as it was too late to find a suitable rental. And we requested $1900 deposit back. Since they refused, we invoke them to a small claim court in Broward County. Then we learned that Barbara lied that she was a main broker. Indeed, it was Ben Schachter with his skillful lawyer Christen Javen, who was also a Vice President of the company. All four of them came to the court. The lawyer submitted counter claim for $5500 which included both realtors' commissions and her attorney's fees, even though she was a business partner. we had all the proof, all the e-mails, but the judge would not listen to us. The only "proof" that Signature had was a handwritten notice from a listing agent (forged one day prior court date) stating that there always has been a queen bed for 2 people. Please note that unscrupulous listing agent never provided us with such answer before. So, we lost in the court: $1900 our deposit, $500 court expenses and $5500 we paid to satisfy the judgment against us. In total we lost $7900 . When we tried to negotiate with him the amount of judgement, Ben shouted: " Didn't you suffer enough from me? Do you want more sufferings?" Yes, we suffered enough. Besides money lost, we lost the whole winter vacation (because it was too late to find another apartment). And there is no way we could buy a property there, because next year the prices became doubled. So, Let Public beware of 2 dishonest Realtors, Barbara Gillis and Toni Zaks. Beware of dangerous Signature...
Read moreStay away from Signature International Real Estate unscrupulous companies! Don't believe any positive reviews, they were (most likely) written by relatives. Ben Schachter, do you know the quote: Every evil deed that you have done behind people's backs, you do in the eyes of God. You have deceived us on a lot of money, and we tried to negotiate the amount you said " Didn't you suffer from us not enough yet! " Unlike you I don't want you suffer but maybe you will have a wakeup call, when you became a hospital patient. And I am very sorry for you. As long as you make people's hearts in pain, the boomerang is imminent back to you and...
Read moreIt seems everything they do has a $499., charge with no explanation, on top of their regular fees. Rentals and sales. Their fees are higher than anyone else I have talked to in the Pompano area. They put themselves out there as Wynmoor village real estate, but they no longer have an office on the property. None of their paperwork is dated, and they let my sister forge my mothers name and initials on documents that were never explained to my mom who is perfectly coherent and has all her faculties and wits about her. I would personally never do business with Maria Rosado or this LLC. All they want is your listing,...
