I was at the restaurant this past Saturday evening for the 2nd time.
I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK!
THE OWNER/ CHEF DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS.
VERY SAD - EXCELLENT FOOD WITH ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.
He had one (1) server for the entire restaurant and 2 bussers.
His staff accidentally threw out my teeth liners (a several thousand dollar expense). I feel I was very patient and considerate until I wasn't.
It took almost 45 minutes for me asking for someone to do something before he came out to speak with me.
Instead of offering a solution to resolve it, or cover even a portion of my bill - the chef, who I quickly learned was the owner - yelled at me, called me stupid and allowed the situation to get blown out of proportion - ALL THIS AFTER I had to dig for the liners myself in his trash cans with no gloves.
No gloves????? That is unacceptable.
Why not hire more wait staff???
It was bad enough my liners were never found, but he conveniently "ran out of gloves" 🧤 on a busy Saturday evening.
I'm sorry but he runs a busy and successful restaurant in the USA, order more gloves. That's disgusting and it's a health hazard.
As for good help, if he can't afford more people to work for him, maybe he needs take reservations only and not be sooo greedy.
As for the police he called which later apologized to me for the disrespect I received, that alone shows me this man doesn't know the first thing about customer service.
He might be a great cook/ chef but he knows zero about how to run a thriving repeat clientele if he allowed that to happen.
I followed up with him the next day via email offering him an opportunity to fix the mistake and even acknowledged my mistake of not putting the liners in my pocket originally.
Seems he could care less about his customers. If he doesn't respect his patrons nor their loyalty, then maybe he shouldn't have them. I work very hard for my money as I'm sure most of us do, him included and even acknowledged that in my email.
I even acknowledged his cooking skills and thanked him for his food despite what happened; suggesting it was over reaction and perhaps he just needed time to reflect before getting back to me.
No response to the email.
I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - much better spots available with far greater care for their patrons and their hard...
Read moreWanted to like this place, especially since it’s so close to my house. Unfortunately the manager treated me so rudely that I don’t think I could ever go back. We offered the coconut shrimp, Indian roti app, chicken pad Thai and the branzino. Coconut shrimp is not bad, very tiny portion. Wouldn’t order it again. Indian roti was AMAZING! It was my favorite dish. The pad Thai was very mediocre. Not bad but kinda on the dry and bland side. Egg was overcooked. And lastly, and the worst of all, the branzino. I almost broke my tooth. First it was supposed to be an almond crusted branzino. It’s actually branzino filet that is deep fried and sprinkled with almonds as a garnish. Then I took a bite and the entire backbone of the fish was still intact! It was fired with the entire backbone. Very strange. Most places take the bones out (some in a very fancy presentation). The manager semi-accused me of lying until he went back and saw the backbone and came back and apologized. By this time my guests had nearly finished their dinner (my branzino came to the table 10 minutes later than the pad Thai) so I just told them to remove it from the receipt. They offered replacements but it was late and I just wanted to finish and go home. They relentlessly begged me to accept a fried rice for all the trouble. I said no but they said I could take it to go, so I finally said ok. I thought it was a nice gesture in light of the bad experience. Well it wasn’t a nice gesture, they wanted to charge me $16 for this mystery fried rice that the manager INSISTED I accept. Luckily I caught it and asked it to be removed and told them I didn’t want the fried rice as I only accepted it because I thought it was them trying to turn my experience around. Manager was very rude and condescending. I wouldn’t go back. Plenty of other...
Read moreI visited the restaurant 2 days ago for lunch with a friend, as I was preparing for a medical procedure which required a clear soup. I asked the server about the availability of clear soup, and she pointed out 2 options. One of them was labeled “creamy” on the menu, so I sought clarification. The server confirmed—albeit with some impatience—that it was a clear soup. I proceeded to order both soups, requesting the oxtail soup for dine-in and the vegetable soup to go. When the oxtail soup was served, it arrived boiling in a pot over a burner. However, it was clearly not a clear soup, as the ingredients were overly disintegrated & scattered throughout the broth. I requested to have the seafood soup brought instead, which, though visually acceptable, was bland. I only took a few sips & decided to have both soups packed to go. When the server returned with the vegetable soup in a standard plastic takeout container, I noticed the container was deformed from the heat. She left the boiling soup on the table & did not offer to transfer it into the container. I visited the restroom, which featured two red sliding doors that could not fully close due to a visible ½-inch gap that widened toward the floor—quite an unacceptable condition. I forgot to mention that most of the seats are benches and the regular chairs are solid wood-- both uncomfortable to sit upon. Despite the overall experience, I still left a 20% tip for the server. My friend ordered the pad Thai and noted it was unusually sour. The server responded that it was...
