Lola's Tattoo Shop — Local services in Bogota

I had come to this studio back in '09 for my first tattoo. I didn't know much back then and wish I had done my research more.

The shop charged $200 for a simple tribal-like tattoo that took less than an hour to complete, which would have been acceptable had the artist been competent behind the needle. The artist at the time went hard into my skin, which caused scabbing and scarring during the healing process. The artist had tried to blame me for having, and I quote, "jumpy skin." No other tattoo artist since has had an issue with my skin.

The shop did not use traditional plastic wraps like saniderm - they wrapped my tattoo in paper towels tied with tape. I was instructed to sleep with the paper towel patch (which, due to the damage the artist had done to my skin, had become connected to my wound and ripped part of the skin away when I removed it, damaging the ink). I was also told to clean the wound with listerine, and was given no instructions regarding moisturizing or using and kind of anti-bacterial cream.

I hated the sloppiness of the tattoo, and wouldn't show it to anyone until I had it touched up by a more competent artist.

From the beginning they're very polite knowledgeable outrageous artists decently priced they don't go overboard as far as money and they can do almost anything that you want if you don't see the design on their wall and you have a picture you email it to him he will sketch it out the exact way that you want it and put in the colors that you choose say if it's a heart or bear or dog they will match the colors to what you are looking for and they are tremendously talented been there a very long time I know dozens of people that recommend this place not only on their safety and technique the artistry de politeness and again they're decent prices I have been to a place called shotsies in Wayne and they are twice as much as this place and since the owner has left shot C the employees have got a little bit nasty this place is ran by two to three people it's super clean and they guarantee everything they are open on Sundays they open at 12 in the afternoon to 8 at night you should make an appointment so that you do not have any wait time and for something larger they ask for a small deposit along with your appointment but at a five stars I give this...

Completely disappointed. I went to get my first 2 tattoos, I don’t remember the name of the guy, just that he is blonde and have light eyes. I only got a star on my shoulder and a sentence on my rib and he completely screwed my sentence, also the star. First, the star looks like incomplete, like made with Chinese ink and then my sentence, some letters are much darker then others, also they’re too thick and he got out of the lines a lot, which made a lot of dark spots. He did not even pay attention to the things I was telling him how I wanted. This place doesn’t even have the option of letting the person choose the font we want. Now I have to see how to get my tattoos removed, which is a lot of waste of money. The pricing was expensive for such a bad job. I don’t recommend this place at all.
