I’m in the process of purchasing myself a new handgun, so after hearing good things about this place and checking them out online I decided to go in to check out there in store inventory and make my purchase. From the moment we walked in the older gentleman working the gun sale area already had us labeled , not only did he not address us after we were standing there for awhile, his attitude was totally rude and disrespectful. He was helping out another customer I get it but you still acknowledge waiting customer’s so they don’t feel ignored, which we did. After he eventually rudely asked if we needed help I preceded to ask to have the paperwork to start filling out so that once it was our turn to be waited on half the process would have been started. Not only did he speak to me in a tone that was belittling and very unacceptable to me, he tried treating me like I was uneducated about law as it pertains to the purchase of a firearm. I am a licensed, permit holding citizen and because of the color of my skin doesn’t give anyone the right to stereotype me. Not once did I mention any interest in an assault rifle or a Ak-47 specifically so why would he tell me the process to purchase that. I try my best to keep my composure but he just kept with the poor customer service and disrespect so yes after he continued to go word for word insulting my intelligence I gave him a few choice words all while letting him know that he’s no better than me because of the color of his skin and I have every right to purchase a handgun to protect myself just like the customer that he was helping. The law deemed me fit to carry so who is he to judge. Needless to say I’ll be making my purchase somewhere other that Rural King, I know I’m just one person and my review probably won’t matter because as comfortable as he was disrespecting me and my family, that was not his first time acting that way so he is not worried about any type of disciplinary action being taking against him which is sad, they have very good products and great prices but it’s not worth...
   Read moreThis place has great pricess but there customer service is horrible. I went Friday to buy a gun at 1 in the after noon. Soon as I arrived the guy behind the counter was totally k y ignoring me and my son. Fine,so I say excuse me can I se this gun he showed me the gun I say i want to buy it this is where it takes a turn. He says ok,and proceeds to give me his back and kept putting locks on guns he was putting away in display. Other customers walk by us he goes out his way to speak to them hi how are you thankbyou for coming,but not another word to me or my son. He finally helped us after 20 min of waiting. He submit the background and tells us to shop all bit is going to be a few min. Now a hour go by I stop at the counter he continues to ignore me while he is having a conversation with a customer about somebody being on drugs and getting fired bla bla. I asked about my background he says it ought be 2 hours and a half . So I sit and wait another hour he says you shuld probably go home and come back 8 . It is 345 now I'm just smh I said ok. Go home waiting i called back at 647 soon as I sag I'm calling about a background he didn't let me finish yeah come is here and hung up. When8 got there I asked when ilmy background was back they said 5pm but I had to call 647 to find out .    Read moreI love this store as it carries a lot of stuff. Online shopping is okay but the stores don't seem to have the items even though online will give you a count of items in the store in stock. My problem is customer service. Very shabby. Some of the employees act like they don't want to be there. I had one nice employee tell me about an item I was looking for. She told me to go to the customer service desk and ask if the item was in stock just maybe not on the floor. Then she told me to ask all when the item may be restocked if it's out. Very helpful ...until I got to customer service. There I waited while the employee did multiple transactions of some kind while I was standing there. No customer present but it was like he was doing paperwork. Then I presented my question as I was instructed and he told me if there wasn't a shelf ticket they didn't carry it ( even though online says they had several in stock!) He asked if I saw a shelf ticket several times. I told him I didn't look because the employee in that section told me it's a popular item so it's usually in stock. Then he told me it would be a while because " they're busy in the back." I waited for a few minutes then the customer service employee told me they didn't have any of the items. No, I'm sorry. No, can I order it for you. Nothing. If you know what you want and it's on the shelf you'll be fine. Don't ask...
