I don't know what happened but the jewelry lady has gotten a bit moody towards me. I spend a fair amount of time and $ in there weekly and my husband and I help with things anytime they ask, like he's removed a snake and a bat at the store. One day the jewelry lady was working the checkout and asked me a question regarding a towel my husband picked out, I didn't know the answer since i didn't pick it out and was waiting on him to respond, but apparently he didn't hear her. So she basically screamed at me "what is on this towel?" I said I don't know, ask my husband who picked it out or open it up. Her tone startled me. I tap him, then she asks him softly and nicely... because who's gonna scream at a big mean looking tattooed guy? Then Some days she's really nice to me, I never know what version I'm going to get and I shouldn't complain considering she's donating time out of the kindness of her own heart. She probably just has bad days like the rest of us. I still think this is the nicest little thrift store. Some employees are the biggest sweethearts, and I would like to thank all of you for freely donating your time and energy. The prices on most items are unbeatable and the proceeds help local people struggling to make ends meet with their utility bills. They have a nice selection of clothes, toys, games, holiday items, glasses/dishes, bedding and knick knacks mostly a quarter or 50 cents. Kids clothes are only 50 cents, socks and undies (now 50 cents), most other clothes a dollar and coats and dresses 2 dollars. Christmas trees 10 dollars. Every once in a while a more luxurious or brand new item will cost more than you'd think at checkout. I only have a little gripe about paying for some things I considered a good find and them not making it home with me in a box with other items, for only the lower end things to be back on the floor the next morning at opening. I suspect foul play from an employee because one thing was a necklace that they specifically asked about and I said it might be sterling, same person bagging items.
