Very negative experience as a current resident of View by Vintage. The apartments are brand new and very modern and clean, so that is a plus. But the office staff and management are a huge problem. The office staff have been evasive, disorganized and condescending since we signed the lease 2 months ago. Communication with the office staff is very poor and very unprofessional. High turn over with the office staff and the management. In the 2 months we have lived here, the manager and the assistant manager have both left and have been replaced by ?? They are VERY disorganized here. They somehow managed to lose either my deposit or my first month's rent, or both, and today decided to accuse me of not ever paying those items, in a very vague and long letter that was posted on my door. I still don't know exactly what they are accusing me of not paying, because in the long letter, there were no amounts of what I supposedly owe or any information about what I supposedly didn't pay. Just a vague letter saying that I owe them money. They are mistaken because I have paid my rent on time for both months that I lived here and I paid my deposit and my pro-rated rent on the day that they gave me the keys to the apartment. If I supposedly didn't pay, why would you give me the keys to the apartment???? They likely lost the money, or it was stolen, or it wasn't documented correctly by their highly efficient office staff. So naturally, they want to blame the tenant, by way of a vague letter that states I owe money but there is no amount or explanation of what I supposedly owe. It gets worse, when I went to the office to let them know there's been a mistake, the lady who answered the door was incredibly condescending and ultimately rolled her eyes at me and slammed, yes slammed the door in my face. Very rude, very unprofessional. Very typical of this apartment complex though. It is unfortunate to live in an income restricted apartment, where the staff/management think they can treat people disrespectfully and rudely because we may not make a lot of money. The stress and anxiety of being blamed and accused of owing money, and then not being able to get a straight answer as to what they say I owe is overwhelming. Not a good feeling at all. So because they will likely be unable to identify their mistake, I'll either have to pay TWICE, or get an eviction on my credit if I stand up for my self and not pay this supposedly owed unknown amount of money. Very anxiety provoking. I hate that I live here. I should have gone with my gut feeling before I ever signed the lease, to just walk away. But the glitz and glam of a brand new apartment for an affordable price was very enticing. I regret signing that lease. Not worth the stress, anxiety and frustration of having to deal with the condescending and incompetent office staff and the negativity that they bring into my life. I don't recommend people move here, but If you decide to take that chance, have the office staff make a copy of EVERY check or money order that you hand them, and have them initial and date the copy. Keep that copy with you in a safe place, because with View by Vintage apartments, you never know when you'll get that vague letter taped to your door stating that you owe them (an unknown amount) money. 4.5 stars for the apartment building itself, -zero (negative zero) stars for the staff/management here and 1 star for the property management company FPI who are equally frustrating, tenant blaming and...
Read more1.....you can be more disciplined on when things get broken around this place and have the parents and the children be held accountable for their actions!!!!!! You wouldn't have to keep closing things down or limiting us to certain amenities if you were actually looking into it and doing something about it. Use your budget to add-on apartment numbers to Each individual key code, whatever access we have to the pool or the gym, To actually pinpoint who is going into these places then you would have your camera footage, if you have cameras that are actually working, to catch the people that are doing the damage!
2...... I know you have 5 grounds people here, but the place still looks like The ghetto!! With all of the garbage sitting around in front of each apartment building and nothing looks like it's ever being cleaned up! If you have this many people then it wouldn't look like this so somebody's clearly not doing their job!
Why not start putting garbage cans in front of each building near the stairwell or on the corner of each building to give people more of an incentive not to just drop their shit on the ground but to actually throw it away!! It's gonna be added on to your budget just a bit, but don't you think the outcome would be a lot better with that cost?? Then your maintenance crew, if people actually started throwing stuff away instead of on the ground, your maintenance crew would actually have more time to do more important stuff around our community! Start getting the whole community involved in different activities around the apartment to make look better! Especially the teenagers and the smaller children so they see this place as where they're living instead of a dump to where they can continue to break things and treat it like crap! You might have a better outcome if you include the teenagers especially, and smaller children into keep in their community clean and know that you mean it! If all you do is send out warning letters nothing is ever gonna be done! Warning letter seems to be all that you're doing, and that is not helping our place to be a nice...
Read moreThis is a very large property with a lot of people living here. Over 400 apartments. It's not a quiet place to live by any means. The apt walls are quite thin. It's like living in a city. This is a LIHTC property so don't expect high class living but the management doesn't care at all about this place. after living here 2 years I can honestly say this place is a joke. Office staff have had a full turn over 2 times in 2 years. Apts were built so fast there are many problems, appliances are the cheapest options out there, never needed to use a plunger so often! lolz The "amenities" include 2 playgrounds, pool, fitness center and clubhouse. It's nice to be within walking distance of a playground, but since they decided to use woodchips in the playground, my kids get splinters. They also get splinters from the mulch the surrounds all the sidewalks. Pool is unclean and not heated to a proper level so it's always freezing. And this year they decided to not open the pool bathrooms. Dog park area is gross. Trash overflows the dumpsters weekly. If you take kids into the clubhouse to play shuffleboard they will tell you to quiet down. There have been gun shots on the property (no one was hurt thankfully). Countless car breakins and at least one apt was broken into. I know crime isn't isolated to these apts but just wanted forewarn anyone.
I'm honestly trying to think of a good thing about living here but the only thing I can think of is ths price for the area is the cheapest option. So it might be good for the budget to live here but not when you factor the poor...
