I stopped today 7/4/25 around 3:30 to buy my weekly allotment of 10 bags of dog food (heartland harvest) We buy 6-10 bags there every week, plus I wanted to buy a 8' stock tank for my grand kids. With my bad knees and swollen feet today I didn't want to walk half way across the parking lot so I parked where I could load bags easily. I parked in the fire lane south of the building by the garden center. An older lady asked me in an irritated voice to move my vehicle , she was wearing street clothes I didn't even think she worked there at the time . I told her Ill move in a minute i needed a tool and then pay for a stock tank so we can load it. When I got to the Milwaukee section, she had raised her voice a couple times threatening to call the cops. Then I heard her telling the employees in a loud voice to call the police have me towed. I found the tool I wanted when I turn around she was on top of me threatening to tow my truck and I needed to go and that its been longer than a minute. I said I guess I can buy everything else from thiesens they sell the same food and they probably have stock tanks as well..if not I can go to tractor supply. it's not like there's a shortage of other farm stores to go to So I went to the truck and called my fiance, I told her to skip the dog food ,we were headed to Ames at this point. I looked in the mirror and the same lady pulled her car up behind me keeping me from easily turning around. While she took pictures and videos taped me. I backed up as far as I could and was able to drive around the Parking lot I called again this time she was in the check out buying chicken food and a step stool . I told her to walk away and leave it there we were done and going somewhere else. She continued to check out. The people in the check out were polite. I went to tractor supply and saved $100 on the stock tank and picked up the heartland harvest dog food from thiesens in Ames . I under being asked to move and. That I was in the fire lane that I see people parking and loading in daily. I don't understand the following me through the store 60 feet to the tool section confronting me again then when I did leave driving her car around the parking lot to block me and taking pictures or video taping me. When I moved to the other side of the lot to wait for my passenger she left the parking lot she drive into the street ,I think she was just getting off work possibly the store manager.

Having just discovered Bomgaars in Grimes I was eager to compare the Boone store. Except for the fact that their layouts mirror each other you will find the same amazing selection of quality goods at both stores. Lots of items well displayed in spacious aisles make shopping a pleasure. Toys for little kids and tools for big ones. Staff seems attentive but not pushy.
