My wife carried a shirt that she intended to purchase upstairs while hoping to look at other merchandise. It was on a hanger and very noticeable, much like anyone would carry a shirt around a store until paid for. You would have thought she concealed it in her bag and tried to walk out the back door. The girl behind the counter upstairs was beside herself that we brought merchandise upstairs. My wife asked if we could pay her for it or if she would hold it till we went back downstairs but she refused and insisted it be taken back down immediately. It was a bit bizarre. We decided to leave without purchasing anything.

We went to the Mast General store across the street. It has to be 15x bigger than this store at least. We each picked up items to be purchased and carried them around the whole store, upstairs and down, while browsing for other things. Not once were we told that we couldn't carry our items in specific areas of the store and that has been my shopping experience 100% of the time in my life until today. Odd policy at Boone Belles...

We pop into this store when we're in the mountains. They were among the first places to have nice, fashionable face masks when the pandemic hit. Since we don't live close by, I started ordering them from their on-line store. We love the masks - soft and well-fitting. But what was so nice was that with my last mask order, they included a really pretty sparkly mask at no charge - I guess for being a repeat customer. Very thoughtful customer...

Love, love, love this shop. Everything is cute and affordable. You can't beat the prices for the shoes- I bought sandals 4 years ago that have yet to show any signs of wear and tear. They have a nice selection of Simply Southern shirts. All of their jewelry is reasonably priced. Great place to buy...
