Hands Craft Gallery — Attraction in Boone

Our son is a senior at App State & we have walked by this place dozens of times. I regret not walking in sooner. This gallery has been in business for 50 years. That’s incredible! It is a cooperative, and the members work in the store. They have some consigners from other parts of the state. I was so impressed with their merchandise that I took lots of pictures. I can see doing some lovely decorating if you own a mountain home or even to take some of these beautiful hand crafted items back home if you’re on vacation.

I happened across Hands gallery after a visit to Turchin art center in Boone, while I was on vacation. Hands gallery is a terrific store, featuring work of more than a dozen local artists, including ceramics, textiles, jewelry, paintings, etc. The artists take turns staffing the store themselves.
