I love the place, group fitness classes and the facility itself are all very nice. However the staff there was SUPER unfriendly and rude. I loved going there for few weeks, but totally changed my opinion about this place after calling them for something and the attitude was totally unexpected. I called to change my membership from $79 regular membership to $900 personal training membership (3x week). Which I consulted about before even signing up. I talked with three employees from the club and they all said I could change my membership whenever I wanted to, there is a 4month commitment to the regular membership but it wouldn't matter if I changed to the personal training membership. However the front desk person kept telling me I am not allowed to change my membership because I didn't fulfill my 4months. She said I would have to keep my membership and purchase extra personal training sessions on top of the membership because I have to keep it for 4 months. I told them names of people I consulted about this but she said "You must have misheard her" which really threw me off- I did not mishear, I double checked and triple checked because I was interested in personal training from the beginning, and plus I am trying to pay more to the club and they are not letting me do it?????Anyways it turns out I was right, I am allowed to change my membership(of course, $79 vs. $900 duh) and not worry about the 4 month commitment I had with regular membership. BUT the front desk person DID NOT SAY a single apology, all the confusion, all the arguments, she didn't have the basic info she should have had; she was like, oh it seems I can do that, and I asked couple more questions afterwards but she sounded like she was so annoyed by that point and kept repeating the same thing she already told me and telling me to come to club on Monday and figure things out. Worst customer service experience, the person I talked to was super unfriendly and rude, almost made me NOT want to go to the...
Read moreI have joined a lot of gyms over the past few years. I find myself dreading the thought of going and never stick to a solid routine. Ever since I joined Commonwealth I genuinely look forward to going to the gym everyday. (and that is saying a lot trust me, I have never been an extremely athletic person by any means). One of my favorite things are the great classes they offer. With your membership you have unlimited access to classes like booty barre, body pump, spinning and lots of other awesome options. All of the instructors are super upbeat and positive, and make you feel actually excited to be there. People of all levels excel in these classes and everyone seems to be very comfortable. There is really no intimidation factor whatsoever. I was nervous at first, but everyone has been beyond welcoming and helpful. With the structure of these classes, I find it so much easier to stick to a schedule. Instructors take the time to get to know you by name, and it really feels like they care if you come. Commonwealth is also extremely clean. From the second you walk in you really feel like you are getting what you pay for. They offer fresh towels at the front desk and the locker rooms are always spotless. Everyone has been so friendly and encouraging, I honestly can't say enough about how much I love this place. If you are going to spend money on a gym, trust me make it Commonwealth, you will not regret it one...
Read moreThe time I spend at CSC is predominantly in the weekday evening group fitness classes. First, the instructors are wonderful. They are well educated, experienced, professional, courteous and highly skilled in fitness instruction. I have a preexisting knee condition and each instructor has provided me with alternative moves/body positing to prevent further injury. The classes are also challenging and I always feel that I got a good workout. It's time well spent. So far, I've had the pleasure of taking classes led by the following people: Laura, Maria, Brenna, Nicky and Tyra. Second, it's great that there are several class options available during the week. It's helpful to have the option of a high cardio (spin) class and a muscle conditioning (booty barre/pilates) during the same time. That way, I can determine at the end of a day in the office as to whether or not I can muster up the energy needed for high impact vs. low...
